Yes, they are. And in some instances we can't blame them. Certain hospitals with critical corona patients can't guarantee infection won't spread, so if you just had a heart attack or something its better to avoid such a hospital (only IF the hospital itself advices that of course!).

But you can't go anywhere. You can't see your friends. You can't date. You're just stuck with your parents 24/7
That would have been my worst nightmare as a 17 year old lol

    Now I'm being the bummer

It's far from certain they can't meet with others in person for a year or longer ;) Just saying :)

I wonder what the plans for HS Graduation ceremonies are. Is it going to be like 1000 students + Family + friends all crammed into a Video Chat? lol

In a college in Japan they had like segways with a tablet on eye height. All students were at home during the graduation ceremony but there via the tablet. Oh yeah, all segway thingies or remotely controlled robots had those graduation robes on :grinning:

The bigger problem is how to take the exams. But there i also already saw some creative solutions :)

Mm, this is a really shitty time to be reaching any milestones--21st birthday, high school graduation, last year of college, etc. Or a weird time to be pregnant or ready to give birth.

Death rates (for everything else) are usually around the 0.8% mark a year. For a state with 20 million people. That's 438 per day

The mass grave in the park was only for unclaimed victims. People that had no family left to claim them. Wasn't exactly necessary, well wouldn't have been if there was someone to claim them. It wasn't about having too many dead at once exactly, just too many unclaimed dead at once that the city has to pay for a funeral

    It's all perception

Wasn't talking about filming them in the ICU

Was talking about photos from the year before, montages you get with every other disaster, interviews with family members and you get a family photo of the past

The omission of that kind of stuff is painfully obvious. They do it with the younger victims, the healthcare workers...but not with 95% of the victims

So you may keep your moral code intact you going to pretend that's not happening

Or not not happening to be more accurate

    Shit is obvious

Show me one news story with a montage of the 50 people that died in a village. 48 of whom look like their are straight out of an ad for a teach seniors to use a computer charity. One news story where they are interviewing the daughter and they show a year old pic of her 70 yr old mother

You know exactly why they are not doing it

If I post that pic, is it confronting to you? Am I an arsehole for posting it? Is it mean?

Why exactly? That is what 95% of the victims looked like weeks before they died

Well, as I said before, with this one you get to pay personally and directly in your life time, the rest of your life time by the looks of it, for the decisions made by governments and "experts" over the past few months

That religious like belief in "experts" you get to pay for in the coming years. It will directly affect you. For a pandemic that's going to struggle to even get to normal seasonal flu mortality numbers

You act like it would be very different if we would let the virus spread among the general population that has normal and average health. By not locking down and thoroughly isolating the risk groups. You don't know that.

Nice try. I don't have such a religous like belief. And it's gonna affect everyone regardless if they have it or not :p
I'm not sure you're aware why all these measures are exactly taken.

Actually, you know what, my views aren't driven by fear. I've been thinking about it. If it was fear, I'd want the lockdown to end. I just think it makes bad sense. But for my own sake, I want it to carry on because I like the free time.
