Its funny how the left went from calling McCain "Literally Hitler" in 2008, to crying over his passing

"The Left" is a construct in your head. I don't think "the Left" called McCain Hitler or anything else. So Madonna, Linda Ronstadt, Black Sabbath and Tony Bennett called McCain "Hitler"? What do they know? Right wingers Hank Williams , Jr., Thomas Sowell, Bishop Daniel Jenky, Tea Party Activist Judson Phillips, and the North Iowa Tea Party said the same about Obama. Who listens to them? Now with Trump, the basis for comparison is much closer. That's the trouble with crying wolf too often.

Not exactly. There are plenty of members on here, and people all over the world, who proudly identify as "the left."

Plus it's an easier thing to say when classifing all the globalists, eugenicists, malthusians, marxists, keynsians, socialists, eco-fascists, communists-in-denial, fembots, climate alarmists, race-baiters, NPCs, body-positivity-activists, flag burners, history revisionists, government supremacists, SJWs, soy boys, PETA-philes, islam-fetishists, antifa, open-border activists, and more.

Who said that? Again I think you are imaging things. McCain was popular because he reached across the isle. He actually has the respect of Democrats and even went as far as appearing on the "left wing" late night shows. Most Republicans never do that or if they do it's YEARS after they are out of office.

The issue was he got Palin and people were nervous and reminded of how Republicans support people like her.

Westchester is north of the Bronx. Miami is more than 1100 miles to the south, in south Florida. I know lots of Cubans who did not like the way Trump treated the Hispanic immigrants from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico. They were very offended by the child/mother separation and the deportation of unaccompanied children. The Arab and Muslim community in America is very offended by what Trump did to Jimmy Daoud … a Christian Arab.

Sir, I whole-heartedly agree. The right wing on here are just Trump's buttocks kissing supporters. Nothing is going to change their minds because they are in a comfortable place in life, right beside Trump's rectum.

I didn't particularly like McCain. He was a conservative Republican and a bit of a warmonger, who, like his buddy, Lindsey Graham, never met a war he didn't like. But he had a qualities that are rare to nonexistent these days:honor, integrity, devotion to prinicples, and dedication to country above partisan interest. When one of his fans at a political rally was badmouthing Obama as some kind of un-American Muslim, McCain corrected her said "No, Ma'm. He's a decent man." Can you imagine Trump doing something like that? Goldwater was like that. G.H.W. Bush was like that. If we can appreciate such values, we're doomed as a nation.

I noticed he seemed to have a brain and a heart. Yes he was in favor of things I don't agree with but he acted like Republicans I had only read about in books. You are right Trump would never discourage something like that.

And you think they're a monolith who, for example, share a common opinion on John McCain. Only in your mind.

If he can, we can. Six must be a racist, goose-stepping, sheet-wearing, corporation-loving, Confederate flag-flying, Jew-hating, fat shaming, neo-Nazi, ,Know Nothing, redneck religious fundamentalist snake handling MCP gun nut, who lives in fear of fluorides in the water that'll sap him of his precious bodily fluids, but thinks polluted air is okay and global warming and Covid-19 are a hoax.

Sanders is out and Trump has hinted the proletariat will be sent back to work. You buy all the stocks and companies that are weak now and get even richer in a few years. Can't do that with no rat to make the exercise wheel turn because a socialist told them not to.

2020 is a safe election now for the 1%. A depression does not exist for them.

16 million people just got laid off but U.S. stocks had their best week in 45 years

In an analysis published Thursday, investor Ned Davis notes that the stock market does better than average when unemployment spikes. Davis’ research shows that a jobless rate over 6% correlates with the stock market rising 13.7% per annum.

“How can this be?” Davis wrote. “It defies logic. My explanation would be that this news is widely followed, and the market tends to look ahead. So it is probably priced in.”

It’s also probably in large part because of the central bank’s punchbowl, Davis added. Very high unemployment “can send the Fed into overdrive in terms of making money cheaper and more easily available… When the Fed helps investment grade bond yields plunge, it has been a good buy signal for stocks.”

Yes, an accommodative Fed and the prospect of more fiscal stimulus in the wings can help to ease the minds of investors. Indications of some leveling off in deaths and virus exposures will also get their attention. But these ups and downs in the market also happened during the Great Depression. If we go back to work too early, and Covid-19 makes a comeback, the market will probably fall again.

and trump has asked Sander's supporters to vote for him. I believe that some of them will, especially the ones that post on HF.
