Trump's Response to COVID-19

  1. I can't stand it. My experience of New Mexico is one full of creepy transients, perverts, and wife beaters. I hope I never return.

There are gated (white, only) communities throughout the lower 48.so your statement is superfluous

Apparently white-flight from the cities and into the suburbs wasn't enough because there were always a few stray black and brown families
that made their way into your precious communities. Lowering the property values because of a perceived threat.

  4. Oh do name some of them. I've shopped in them a few times when we mused about gated community living. We ultimately rejected it because it was a waste of money (security is a joke in these places) and we had little in common with all the old money families. Which came in all colors though I saw a larger percentage of folks from India. Really though, these places are not racial hotbeds, they are just an example of class warfare in the US (and the ones who appear to be wining).

We've seen the opposite in Atlanta. The gay white men's population has increased substantially, even to the point of gentrifying old neighborhoods and literally rent- pushing the predominantly black families out to the suburbs. Nobody's complaining because the mayor's office has been in their pocket for decades. It was really obvious when they tore down the government housing projects and sent those families out to the suburbs under section 8. Then came Katrina refugees who were packed off to the suburbs right away, some with mud still on their feet.

We have a fantastic downtown scene these days (though not so much during the epidemic). Sure, it came together after years of insidious planning by the mayor's offices of Atlanta and Decatur, but look at all the "rewards" like that massive Mercedes stadium we didn't need.

We also have a subway, that doesn't go to the suburbs. Why? Because they're afraid of it being a conduit for crime. Now why is that ironic? Because over the last 40 years the suburbs have been fighting the subway system because they were afraid it would bring crime to them. Let that sink in.

U.S. ‘wasted’ months before preparing for virus pandemic

China warned the U.N. in December and the U.S., who had been tracking China’s Hubei province in January, knew they were overwhelmed at that time.

The separation of church and state, along with a general desire to rebel against orders, is what will keep this pandemic going a few weeks longer than necessary.

I guess the idea is that it inhibits the State from taking action to stop religious groups from holding mass gatherings during pandemics. But not necessarily.Rodney Howard-Browne, Megachurch Pastor Who Flouted Virus Rules, Arrested
The courts have made clear that religious freedoms can be restricted if they are against public health or safety, e.g.: Jacobson v. MA (1905) (smallpox vaccinations during epidemic; Bunn v. NC (1949) (poisonous snake handling).
What would be the alternative? In this country, more government catering to religion.

Well it was Mexico originally. Most of the southern border was and all the white Trump voters don't understand that no one came over. You moved the border and the family never moved in places like Texas and New Mexico. So I'm fine with it. The true culture of the region is Mexican. It's easier to learn Spanish then English so any American who wants to live down there will have to assimilate. They expect it from Mexicans so it's only fair since English speakers are in "their" land. America has no official language but any smart state would cater to both Spanish and English,. It's what happens a lot already and that is what is so upsetting to English speakers. Business should not want Spanish money they should stand up for America.

Not going to read through this whole thing. Just wanted to leave you with what I found when doing FEMA classes this weekend. This is straight from the FEMA Course on Ethics. Take from it what you will.

what in the hell are you asking about? Like neon said, NM is overwhelmingly white(75%). Both Native Americans, and Hispanics make up about 9% of the population, respectively. Lay off the poutine.

He said it was 75% white? Where did neon say this?
Please find the quote instead of stating this and also provide a link to valid statistics that state this.

and no! This is not the true culture of the region. Karankawa, Caddo, Apache, Comanche, Wichita, Coahuiltecan, Neches, Tonkawa, And others were there first.

Latinos in the 2016 Election: New Mexico

Neon never said that, but flag there lamely attempted to put down white people as well as speak derogatory about poutine, which I don’t like by the way and is not a canadian dish, no matter how much the French here want you to think it is. Neon did say this about New Mexico.

his experience, can’t deny it, :). Have to trust him in that. :)

Neon said it was "overwhelmingly white"(.#772). Possibly the confusion comes from the fact that the Census Bureau doesn't consider "Hispanic" a race: white=82%; Hispanic/Latino=49.1%. U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts: New Mexico But it would be a terrible idea to balkanize the country.
