I meant LIVES. Not jobs. The deaths caused by poverty, stress, suicide, if we continue the way we're going, will outnumber virus deaths.

And what you seem to be missing about GB's police state post, is the point that police are running around enforcing something with no clear laws and parameters. There is a lot of room for assholes doing whatever they want. Maybe they won't! But the point is.. They could. Thinking the virus was purposefully released by the government to gain control is a bit crazy, but it's just as crazy to not acknowledge that there are certainly people in power seeing opportunities.

Did I already mention about the revoking of plastic bag bans in the states? There will be psychopaths at all levels using this pandemic to get their way in unrelated things.

Nope. Anyway, i don't know how clear the rules are in your or GBs place but here in the Netherlands they're quite clear. That in some sutuations they're difficult to enforce (because of the distance rule for instance) doesn't mean they shouldn't be. Or that they're going to be massively abused by police. All assumptions.

Unfortunate but i don't see a reason that's worthy enough to stop with current safety measures and enforcing them, just because of an example like this.

Because here I can do that just fine. Key is indeed to keep social distancing from people you don't already live with. But as I understand I can drink a beer in a non crowded area even with another person I don't live with: as long as i take the 1,5 meter distance safety measure in account
