I immeadiately googled that and apparently mosquitos don't transmit coronaviruses according to WHO. Although I feel like these organizations have flip flopped on a few things regarding the virus. Wouldn't be a huge issue in my area regardless but good to know.

“Ticks, like mosquitoes, are blood-feeding external parasites. The viruses they are known to transmit to humans must survive and grow, or replicate, inside the tick as well as survive through tick developmental stages. People still need to exercise caution and good judgment in avoiding bites. But there is no evidence that a coronavirus can survive being digested by a mosquito, let alone transmitted to another person.”

that's sort of a lot of them! hope they didn't have the dog with them... =-/ Lol!

I got bit one time in northern Idaho. We were at outdoors camp... I don't even remember where it bit me now. I was probably 15 then.

They did have the dog but it has a seresto collar on. no ticks on dog. That collar is one the best, I get one every year for the dog. might need to wear one myself.

You could maybe rig up a motion detector with a 1.5 m range, stick it to your chest like Iron man with a little alarm and flashing light that goes off if any one invades that 1.5 m personal space.

Other than that, you should sooo lock yourself in your house for 10 years and wait for a vaccine, maybe sleep on the top bunk in case the sea levels go up too much in those ten years

Main transmission route by a virus spread by air droplets is going to be contact surfaces. 1.5 m thing is just something they throw in to control the panic, people feeling resassured by actually doing something, even if it has a negligible effect

Yeah, go the sarcasm route if you don't have anything else.

Supposed to stay 6 ft apart when you go grocery shopping and the isles are only 4 feet wide...

    Seems legit.

Anyway, you're trivializing it here again. So why deny that?

I'll explain your rhetoric fallacy btw: just because the main risk to get infected is via touching surfaces does not mean there's no risk of getting or passing it unwillingly on by standing close to eachother. You probably word it like you do to trigger reactions, but doing that (or voicing your opinion as fact on these matters or going the sensationalist/charged route) can simply come to close to misinformation. So I may hope that there will always be someone to cut the crap and point that out in response to such stuff.

??? I Never denied making fun of the 1.5 m thing

It's your leap of faith, you want to believe it has a more than negligible impact then that is your belief

    Oh, here we go

"The Chinese government has deliberately underreported the total number of coronavirus cases and deaths in the country, the U.S. intelligence community told the White House, a new report says.

Bloomberg, citing three U.S. officials, reported Wednesday that the intelligence community said in a classified report that China's public tally of COVID-19 infections and deaths is purposefully incomplete."

China hid extent of coronavirus outbreak, US intelligence reportedly says
