Trump doesn't need anyone to "tear him down." He does a fine job of making himself look like an ass all by himself. His proclamations come out of thin air - or his ass. He takes NO counsel from anyone other than himself - and it's VERY obvious by the things he says and does. His narcissistic arrogance is his own hangman's rope. About 10 days ago he was downplaying the seriousness of the corona virus saying, "It'll magically disappear." He was in NO hurry to take any hard-line steps at that time, because in his genius - he deemed corona virus to be "...……. nothing to worry about. Go about your lives, maybe go to work." Now look at where we are.
So you CAN NOT re-write history. His own words show what he truly is. Video tape is solid evidence of what he said, his attitude, and CAN NOT be denied.

After Bernie Sander won the California primary, Trump claimed that bad stock market performance was due to investor reaction to Sanders winning the primary.

Trump can now say that he has been forced to resort to heavy-handed socialism because the mere words of people like Bernie Sanders who support social programs supposedly caused the stock market to go down.

Trump is still blaming the Democrats and media for the coronavirus when they were the ones who warned Trump of problems that he could have avoided.

Now Trump is playing the hero figure when trying to clean up a crisis that could have been mitigated or avoided if Trump had listened. One approach of his is to give $1000 government checks directly to everyone.

This is like Trump damaging the farmers with his avoidable tariff war and later trying to be their hero by giving them assistance checks direct from the government.

 

Some of the public will now praise Trump's approach after his delayed and botched coronavirus response, similar to those who would praise Trump for handing them a tire pump after puncturing their tires.
