I was disappointed to find out all the inaccuracies in Band of Brothers. Blithe actually lived and continued fighting in the war, they killed him off in the TV series. Like why do that? I dunno. It kinda sucks though.

To me now after years and years of watching serial killer movies etc... and war... If it's "based on a true story" then all that means to me is, the outcome was probably real, but everything else is just made up to make a movie lol.

 

I just got done with The Pacific for the millionth time

 

Yes! I've watched it probably 4 times.

I tried to do the pacific 3 times but I always stop watching it the episode when they go to Australia and it's the worst episode ever. There's no war or anything. Original BoB was all action except the first episode, which is probably still one of my favs and the last one after the war cause it was all boring.

My favourite part on the German side is the old woman in the concentration camp episode where the American smashes a photo of her husband, and she gives him this almighty filthy glare and feels bad... That glare man.  the devil himself would submiss to that.

 

The Austrailia one and the one where Basilone gets married. But any episode with Snafu is just great

It was just different too. It didn't have that BoB feel. I got the "band of brothers" in BoB, I didn't feel that connection in The Pacific. It was kinda like... The Thin Red Line, ya know it was just different. Maybe it's the landscape like tropical, Europe a bit different. I've driven through land my family fought on, I haven't done that in the Pacific yet hehe.
