I don't know if I am one but I'd rather associate with Hemingway because Great Gatsby tortured me to read. In fact if he wrote it after the Spanish Flu, I can better understand the misery he was trying to inflict on his readers.

 

Fitzgerald wrote better things than great Gatsby.

 

Although I enjoyed it. No misery inflicted on me.

Hemingway. I'm still trying to get why people love it so much. For Whom The Bell Tolls is rubbish, until the final page.

Yea, of course. But that's nice to know; not only that you're reading Fitzgerald, but that he wrote other stuff.

 

We survived ‘Spanish flu’ as a species race. We can survive this.

 

I remember liking The Beautiful and the Damned a lot. But I also think I decided every book was too similar, after reading a few.

 

I'm not saying we won't survive it..
But the logic here isn't perfect.

All I know is Germany is in the top 5 countries with most active cases right now and statistically we are one of the best countries with the death ratio at the moment.

Now when all this is over are you going to remember how many people live in a given country or how many deaths there were in a given country?

 

Yeah, I rather get it, deal with it now, get immunity before winter when I can get this and influenza at the same time

 

Probably neither because I'm terrible at remembering such stats but already I would say I'm more startled by what's happening in Italy compared to China. Some of that might have to do with other variables but a portion of it is because of the discrepancy in population.

 

I'm more startled by the fact that there's hardly any social media claims by anybody saying they've got it other than celebrities and even the ones that did apparently have it have gotten considerably bored with it too.

But social media, something happens to someone everyone shares it. Not one share or tweet for a corona patient. Not one corona mentioned in state obituaries.
