  4. With 53 confirmed cases in Mexico, your point is meaningless. Mexicans are not a Coronavirus threat of any serious measure.

Trump uses a virus pandemic to praise himself for supposedly being a genius.

Add to the list that White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow was claiming that the U.S. was essentially airtight to the virus.

Anyone Who Wants a Coronavirus Test Can Have One, Trump Says. Not Quite, Says His Administration.
Key officials in recent days have corrected or clarified the president, who has sought to project calm as the coronavirus continues to spread in the United States.

Anyone Who Wants a Coronavirus Test Can Have One, Trump Says. Not Quite, Says His Administration.

    excerpt:

"During a visit to the mask producer 3M in Minnesota on Thursday, Mr. Pence acknowledged the constraints of testing. “We don’t have enough tests today to meet what we anticipate will be the demand going forward,” he said.

In recent weeks, Mr. Trump has remained publicly upbeat, minimizing the potential consequences of the virus, which he has said could disappear this spring in warmer weather. “A vast majority are going to be fine,” the president said on Friday about Americans who have the virus, portraying it as similar to the flu.

“I’m not concerned at all,” the president said on Saturday when asked about the coronavirus getting closer to the White House.

In private, White House officials have cast Mr. Azar as “alarmist.”"

Trump could take the billions of U.S. taxpayer money and the workers for his wall and use them to build temporary hospitals and other facilities to assist in the response to the corona virus.

I don't know..... Hospitals that might blow over in a windstorm doesn't sound like a good plan.

National Guard activated in six states to help fight coronavirus

National Guard activated in six states to help fight coronavirus

    excerpt:

"State and local leaders have so far largely taken measures into their own hands to help halt the spread of the virus, with 33 states declaring emergencies, starting with Washington state on Feb. 29.

Multiple state and local governments have also banned large public gatherings and canceled schools for weeks.

The Guard’s efforts to combat the illness include training personnel on coronavirus response, identifying and preparing Guard facilities for use as isolation housing and compiling state medical supply inventories, according to the statement.

In addition, the Guard will provide such assistance as logistical support, disinfection and cleaning, transportation of medical personnel, call center support and meal delivery."

Hundreds of US National Guard troops are fighting the coronavirus across 15 different states

Hundreds of US National Guard troops are fighting the coronavirus across 15 different states

    excerpt:

"There have been calls for additional military support as the virus, which first appeared in China last year, spreads.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo insists that US healthcare system is at risk of being overrun. "States cannot build more hospitals, acquire ventilators or modify facilities quickly enough," he wrote in an opinion article for The New York Times Sunday.

"At this point, our best hope is to utilize the Army Corps of Engineers to leverage its expertise, equipment and people power to retrofit and equip existing facilities — like military bases or college dormitories — to serve as temporary medical centers."

"Doing so still won't provide enough intensive care beds," he said, "but it is our best hope."

At a press briefing Monday morning, Cuomo said that he has been having conversations with the White House on this issue, but talks have so far been inconclusive."

Part of Trump's wall blew over and is of little value even if it doesn't blow over. $25 billion can be spent on that or on needed medical facilities to prevent regular hospitals and emergency rooms from being swamped if a virus becomes a pandemic.

You were never going to get the adequate number of test kits in time, no matter who your President was, especially since the main supplier of the reactants for those kits was China

It should be obvious by now, given the amount of testing already completed in Russia, and how far the virus didn't spread in that country in the first two months. That there was a lot of communication between Russia and China and prioritizing availability of test kits to Russia.

They did weaponize it in at least that sense that Russia came before the rest of the world

But you numbnuts won't pick up on that because you still want to believe a couple dumb Facebook ads lost the election and not Hillary's entitled personality

    As of today

Russia: 93 cases, 0 deaths, close to 80,000 people tested

    Ask yourself why that is

Trump 'tried to secure exclusive rights to coronavirus vaccine'

    Reuters
    Mar 16th 2020 10:58AM
Berlin is trying to stop Washington from persuading a German company seeking a coronavirus vaccine to move its research to the United States, prompting German politicians to insist no country should have a monopoly on any future vaccine.

Germany's Health Ministry confirmed a report in newspaper Welt am Sonntag, which said President Donald Trump had offered funds to lure the company CureVac to the United States, and the German government was making counter-offers to tempt it to stay.

"The German government is very interested in ensuring that vaccines and active substances against the new coronavirus are also developed in Germany and Europe," the newspaper quoted a Health Ministry official as saying. "In this regard, the government is in intensive exchange with the company CureVac."

Contacted by Reuters, a spokeswoman for the German Health Ministry said: "We confirm the report in the Welt am Sonntag."

Welt am Sonntag quoted an unidentified German government source as saying Trump was trying to secure the scientists' work exclusively, and would do anything to get a vaccine for the United States, "but only for the United States".

There was no comment immediately available from the U.S. embassy in Berlin when contacted by Reuters on Sunday over the report, and nobody was available to comment at CureVac. Welt am Sonntag said CureVac declined to comment.

Florian von der Muelbe, CureVac's chief production officer and co-founder, told Reuters last week the company had started with a multitude of coronavirus vaccine candidates and was now selecting the two best to go into clinical trials.

The privately-held company based in Tuebingen, Germany hopes to have an experimental vaccine ready by June or July to then seek the go-ahead from regulators for testing on humans.

On its website, CureVac said CEO Daniel Menichella early this month met Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force and senior representatives of pharmaceutical and biotech companies to discuss a vaccine.

Karl Lauterbach, a professor of health economics and epidemiology who is also a senior lawmaker with the Social Democrats, junior partners in Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition, tweeted in reaction to the Welt am Sonntag report: "The exclusive sale of a possible vaccine to the USA must be prevented by all means. Capitalism has limits."

So, the usual clickbait mystery source bullshit

Great to see you are more concerned with Trump than your own countrymen by the way Vlad
