With bars, restaurants, concerts, and night clubs closing down, I’m genuinely worried about my own financial standing and employment. Shits getting real

Maybe Lev Parnas himself can tell you what ten times 0.01 is? Have you tried to contact him. What jail is he getting sent to by the way?

i'm not being facetious when I say you could use it as an opportunity to take a summer class. Hopefully it won't last that long, but I fear you're correct.

I just read an article talking about a coronavirus recession. Millions of Americans could lose their jobs in a coronavirus recession

I feel on edge myself. Every ache... every time I'm tired... every time I go outside I fear the stupid coronavirus. I'm wondering if instead of jogging at the walking path down the street if I should stop taking chances and just do jumping jacks for fifteen minutes in the backyard. But today I will do neither because of the rain. :)

My Homeowner Association just cancelled the Euchre game this week. The bunch of retired Viet Nam vets who I meet for coffee almost every morning have stopped meeting.

Here the government and other relevant organisations as well as plenty of citizens are looking further ahead. Thing is; its not certain at all how things will turn out exactly in 6 months.

Anyway, I just read a news article stating dutch coffeeshops can open again for take away, yay!! No crusty dealers for me :D It was quite the shock yesterday when it was suddenly decided they had to close doors until at least april 6th, just like restaurants etc. Now they revised the idea and just like food places that deliver they can remain open for business, just not consume at the place (rarely did that anyway these days) :) I was preparing for an involuntary break.

You're young though, if you do get it it will be mild.
I know you're probably more worried about spreading it to other people, but even then there's no reason to live your life in fear. Just wash your hands, a lot, and avoid elderly and immunocompromised people, who should be self quarantining anyways

My company is scrambling to get everyone who didn't have one a laptop and VPN access. We're a software company, but departments like sales they'd never considered remote work for.

Right now they made a list of priority employees who managers suggested get laptops. There may be some supply problems with vendor (Dell).

This one may get rough gang.

Well, if I was going to be in Europe over the next 6 months, your country would be first choice

and some, like Ibiza, are predominantly tourism-driven economies. It's really going to be tough on everyone.

last night joe biden mentioned that we should band together under one approach or something. It would be great if all governments decided to take care of those who will inevitably lose their means to take care of themselves and their families. There was also talk about funding the entire medical cost of coronavirus for everyone because it's a pandemic/emergency etc. That also sounds like a good idea.

    I'm working from home today.
I havent gotten shit done because I need another monitor, it's nearly impossible to do my job on one tiny laptop screen.
I just need to go get a cord to connect my home monitor though. The whole office is closed starting tomorrow, for a "trial" run to test our work from home capabilities.
Also I've been trying to keep my son occupied with educational activities but I've given up now and sent him off to play video games lol.
Phew. Today has been rough. Harder than I thought, working and taking care of a tiny human simultaneously

I highly recommend the final fantasy... lol

I am quarantining. No going out for anything! Yesterday was a major exception. I went to the mall to trade in my ps3 for a different one because it kept freezing up at different times.

If you squish into an elevator with 6 people, one infected that breaths on you, what good is handwashing going to be though?

If you could put a number on it, obsessive hand washing is going to reduce the chance of catching the virus ___%. What number would that be? 100, 50, 5%...2%?
