I don't like it either. I appreciated the lack of such happening when I first joined. It felt like members could deal with controversy between themselves. I feel like this is a result of newer members who use the report button every time something "offensive" is said.

 

Yeah the past week or 2 seems like a lot of threads were locked and yes deletion of some posts. Sometimes people say things and you read them and go "ok that's who that person really is" and then the post is deleted. It's frustrating

Also @Driftrue I would have to research some recipes but I could be your vegetarian chef. Maybe. Idk... I'm a happy self admired carnivore here. If it swims, flys, or crawls, I'll eat it. Not very enlightened but sometimes food trumps religion

 

I support UBI and part of that, in my opinion, should be the resources to raise your own plants and animals for food and other uses (apparently dye). Call me a communist or whatever but there ya go

 

I'm a few people removed from the source of this news, but I've heard that the Canadian government will be announcing tomorrow or Tuesday that all non-essential businesses will be ordered closed, like in Italy.

So, stock up on any non-grocery and pharmacy stuff you might need.

 

Have to wait till payday. By then, shelves will be empty

I'm curious here...without me looking it up, I'm honestly wondering what religion would have you not eat meat? I'm sure they are out there...I just don't know them. I think vegan, vegetarian and such is a life style but not their religion. Right?

Around here most are protestants and I know (as probably you know also) the bible is quite encouraging of eating meat (just not pork and shellfish )

Ontario cabinet is about to declare a provincial state of emergency and pharmacies gas stations and grocery stores and hospitals everything else is closed

 

I am guessing agricultural feed stores will stay open.... tractor supply company has just about everything anyone would need even types of food they sell freeze-dried food as well

 

nothing like a warm bowl of oats..
