I Have A "First Aid Kit"........Feel Free To Give Me A Shout When Things Get Worse...... Cheers Glen.
Currently eating Domino's pizza to counteract the alcohol. (He said, knowing full well it just tastes damn good and he was gonna eat the shit outta that pizza!)
I mean... I've been sipping it, but... it looks like curdled mud. In fact, if I had to name that drink, that's probably what I'd call it. "Curdled Mud" "Hey, wanna almost barf, but not really, but still get totally fuckewd up?" "Here... this Curdled Mud will erase all responsibility!" (But I did chug the rest. Which was probably about a shot.) (Now to.. eat... the.... ... ... strawberry...)
lol great gif Not much to tell. I love cucumber probably my favorite veggie. I saw a number of sour style beers infused with things like cucumber and sea salt and thought the flavor combination was fantastic. If I drink beer it's usually with food. Like I feel like a lot of Mexican beers have this corn flavor to them which pairs wonderfully with corn tortillas. So if I'm having fish tacos or something I might grab a tecate or carta Blanca. I like a rice lager like Asahii or kirin ichiban with warm sake and Japanese food. Its pretty rare I can drink a beer on its own... except for these sours. They're just so yummy and refreshing. This one is my favorite
Hey everyone... I know I haven't been around, but things have been crazy lately. (There was a death in the family.) Not sure when my next night of reviews will be, but I'll be back at some point.
I'm kicking sobriety's ass, that's who. And who. Or what. Whatever... you get the idea. I got a beer review to write.
So, yeah, I'm finally back with reviews! Yay me! Up first, obviously, is... Beer #1: (Alc. 7.3%) (Last Wave - Frothing Peach Milkshake IPA) Smell - Bright eyed peaches/sweet lactose greet us first, but hide dry pine in the background. Taste - Crisp and gently sweet peach, followed by smooth peach. An almost silent thread of pine from start to finish, with a slow flourish on the outro. Overall, this is a mighty fine brew, people. Exceedingly pleasant to drink with a bit of warmth on the end. It's a crisp, bright, fruity, pleasant thing that's almost entirely devoid of any bitterness. I'd say there is a faint moment a bit after swallowing a sip, but it only serves to round out the flavor rather than producing an actual bitter moment. ... Ok. So. There we are. And here we are. About to view the matching pic I chose. And here she is:
Ok, so, this next beer isn't as good as the first one. That said, it's still a good, solid beer that achieves what it set out to do, I imagine. No better way to define this than to define it, so... Beer #2! (Alc. 9%) (Jughandle - Pitch Drop) Smell - (light scents) Stone fruit with a touch of citrus. Herbaceous hops fill out the rest of the profile with a hint of pine. Taste - Standard Five Alive flavor in a beer. Hops are present, but not overly bitter. Herbaceous in the first quarter, bitter gains the rest of the way through, but never too bitter. Overall, as I say, it's like Five Alive in beer form. I find this to be a very common profile in beers that incorporate stone fruit flavor. There are variations though. For instance, this one proves to be more palatable (to me) due to the low bitterness. A solid showing for this brewing trope. ... Oh yeah. A pic, right? hmm.. one sec... *looks for awhile* OK! Here we go!
