Love is multi-faceted, it also comes in many forms. We are born ready for attachment. I can even understand when young girls are captured and kept as sex slaves, even they become attached to their capture. Humans are very complex.
Someone pointed out recently to me that it's really biological... There are physiological responses to emotional stimuli and physical interaction and so on... In that sense, love is real! To me, love is what you feel when you trust someone.
True love involves sacrifice, imo. If you're willing to put someone else's needs above your own (not always) but sometimes, then you be in love.
Love is boundless and endless, yet I always want more. That makes me selfish. Or a romantic. Or a fool. Or needy. Or just a man. Or all of the above.
It's a chemical reaction....does I believe in love at first sight? Generally not but in theory I think it's possible.
