    You would be an alarmist?
    Your post is alarmist!

Alarmist is forecasting gloom and doom based on unsubstantiated claims.

60 feet of sea rise? What credible scientist would claim that? Last I heard, worst case was a few centimeters, and that was supposed to be alarming.

Where's the data to support Mann's "hockey stick" presentation? What did Briffa's data show?

If you had a reputation to be concerned about, you'd dig deeper to find out what all the differing opinions are across professionals.

#1-Conservatives are fearful of change, even if the change is in their best interest.
#2-Gotta'keep the money rollin' uphill regardless of consequences.

Let's wait to see what the reliable oil company scientists have to say.

My feeling is that this is so much less about the changing climate, and way more about who's "right" or "wrong", because the republicans and the conservatives are wrong on this.

So choose where you stand carefully. Standing against is a mighty mistake.

First, I don't owe it to young people to give them hope. So the initial premise of her argument is a lie. What I do owe young people is to teach them skills. Skills to be able to identify problems from rhetoric and to solve problems methodically.
And to avoid dividing people into groups and assuming each individual in each group is identical. Which is a subset of identifying problems from rhetoric.

A 14 page thread about Greta. dear me, I got some more HF thread-reading to do! :)

crash vegas inside out lyrics - Google Search

    You say I'm crazy,
    I've got lots to learn
The world will do fine, without my concern
As your poison falls from the sky
Smile for the camera, like something divine

  11. Hmmmm, that'd include methane gas. Greta would not like that.

    (Just keeping to the thread)

Earth to soul... Where in that article - or anywhere - does Greta "promote science"??? Has she written or spoken about any particular scientists, their methods, and why the supposed consensus is fabricated?

    I haven't seen any.

All I've seen is whining and crying. Show me the Carfax.

#1-why would anyone want change if it wasn't in their best interest?
#2-why would anyone want to stop cash flow?

"Anomaly"? Looks like a gentle steady trend to me.
Are those sources receiving government funds to identify and avert crises? Hmmm

The references above are peer reviewed, such that their data is agreed upon in the scientific community.
