It's completely mind boggling

 

The fact is you have people in here who don't give a flying you know what about what is happening to their country let alone what global warming is doing everywhere.

Yet people like yourself think that it's funny to be childish and follow others around just to get your target angry.
You might just end up copping that direct abuse.
You might be better off not acting like a dick in the first place.

Sure you don't like Greta Thunberg. You don't have to like her. But for those of us that do like her please don't poke the bear.

it depends on the quality of that dinner. i can't speak for my future topics, but i talk about the guy that makes my lunch right now way more than any famous person.

I can't dig you up a post where she's received what she's dished out unless it was negative. If she says something abrasive everyone responds to her. If she says something positive, she's ignored by everyone. Myself included. I've seen her post about her cat, her parents, her love of soccer, how she's dealing with summer heat, and the response is crickets.

I get that she can be disagreeable, offensive, or even hostile. When I 1st joined she was horrible to me. But since, I've learned she has a disorder that makes human interaction a challenge. Suzanne, I dont say that to pick on you but to say that I have a better understanding. My partner has a disorder that affects our relationship. Once I understood that I had 3 options... be with her, leave her, or attack her. I chose to stay with her. With Suzanne I've the same choices. I chose to leave her by ignoring her. Many chose to attack her and I didnt intervene and I just cant anymore.

I'm not gonna ignore her anymore. I cant persuade anyone else to try and be her friend. I wouldn't try. She's been here longer than me, same with most of you. You all have your history and I'm not stepping into it. Shes a human being and every human deserves companionship. We dont come to Hip Forums to be either bullied or ignored. We come for human interaction.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'll eat my words. Maybe you're all like Baegz, you're crazy. Ok. I'll learn that soon enough. But maybe just maybe all she needs is a friend on HF. Ima be that friend.

What I mean is, i got you @SuzanneAU1977 . You can tell me to fuck off and I'm still gonna go outta my way to be your friend because everyone deserves a friend. Especially you. And I'm sorry for the way I've treated you the past few months.

To the rest of the community I hope this doesnt come across as confrontational or as calling you out or whatever. Your relationship with her is yours and I respect that. I dont judge and I dont seek to change anything. But I'm not gonna ignore her anymore.

 

Dont fight everyone, just let it go. I understand that might be easier said than done, but this hostility is killing me. We need to figure out a way for us all to be friends.

I appreciate your education on Greta. Shes quite the fascinating individual. At her age all I was obsessed with was Angry Birds and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs

 

I understand most of what you are saying. But that absolutely does not excuse the foul abuse directed at other posters who merely disagree with her point of view. Apparently she runs her own forum so she knows exactly what she is about to type.
