Generalising Chinese as he did including not blowing their nose properly as a race, is hardcore racism. We live in a society where racism is not tolerated. And needs to be called out.

I have a friend who is an accomplished chef and makes beautiful food. That post made my blood boil and curdle.

Yesterday coming out of a store, a man who happened to be Asian coughed on the back of head, not once but twice, I felt the wind hit the back of my head, . Went home and showered.

If you end up getting the virus just simply give it to someone you don't like.

 

Unfortunately your friend might actually have those ugly habits when he gets colds, flu's, gastro, etc.
Ask him. Even though you love his food which is fantastic.
Tell him that you aren't meaning to sound racist when you speak to him.
You need to remember that when you are on public transport the people who you are surrounded by all might have colds, flu's, etc. So look out for their body language especially when they don't have tissues to blow their nose into.

The virus is a very real health issue and real people around the world are getting sick, suffering and dying. We all need to react with compassion and genuine human support for the victims. It most definitely is not about politics, immigration, foreigners, and the “other”. Like it or not we are all in this together. Virus could just as easily originated in Topeka or Savannah. Im grateful to live in a state where political and civil leaders are not into blame....just doing whatever they can to reduce the suffering. That state is Washington.

 

We're several hundred years too late to stop "foreigners" from bringing their diseases to the Americas.

I've seen people on both sides joke/threaten that they will get the virus and go to a political rally of those they don't agree with. We are all people guys. It's pretty much inevitable in modern times for people to use this against each other. Disappointing.

 

One of my friends is Chinese, he's a chef in a Chinese restaurant, his cooking is delicious and the hygiene is as good as it can be. I'll still eat in his restaurant, and take a few freebies home for my family.

Panic over outbreak sparks frenzied buying across country

A man was tasered by police after allegedly attacking staff at a store in Australia that had run out of toilet roll.

Amid growing reports of panic buying linked to coronavirus across the country, police said the 50-year-old man became angry because a New South Wales department store was running out of tissues.


They say officers were told he threw toilet paper at one member of staff and grabbed the throat of a female customer who approached him.

The man was then approached by officers while he was at another store. He allegedly resisted arrest, reaching for one of the officer's guns and trying to put another into a headlock.


Police say they had to use a taser to subdue him before taking him to Tamworth Police Station. He was treated by New South Wales Ambulance paramedics, the police said.


He has been charged with two counts of common assault, resisting arrest and assault of an officer. He will appear on court on Friday after being refused bail.


Shops across Australia have reportedly been selling out of toilet paper within minutes of restocking, with some instituting four-roll limits on customers.

The latest incident follows a series of reports of altercations over dwindling supplies.
