*train horn in the distance for extra drama*

Train.. Horn? That doesn't sound right. You know the sound I mean though.

 

The doppler effect from train sounds is pretty cool. The way you can hear the train in the distance and then it gradually crescendos as it gets closer and becomes all encompassing as it passes by and then fades off.

 

That's because they know how many people a year die because they're on the tracks at t he wrong time. They may have seen it happen once already.... As i heard it can be traumatic. Can't blame them for being overly alert on this matter!

 

I couldn't help but remember this pic (v) when you said "..just gotta remember to look over my shoulder occasionally"

 

A lot of the cars are more sealed water wise then they were in the past. When a car drives into the flooded road / water. There is a good chance that the car will start floating and the driver will lose total control of it. Plus with the pressure of the water on the outside of the car pushing inward it is almost impossible to open the car door. And to exit the car the window is the best bet in most cases. Bet it never fails to have someone try driving through the water..

 

The remains of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in the Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area in west Kentucky. It was built in 1900 by German immigrants that wanted a place to worship. I took this picture on a hike my dad and I took one spring or summer. Not exactly a recent picture I know; when TinyPic stopped service I lost a lot of those.

Since this pic was taken the church has been restored and the road to it cleared.

 

Thirty seconds IS an eternity to be in that predicament- YFM, please, please be more careful!!

That's pure home grown winter stuff right there. They see lamps at night and sunlight during the day. I had starved them for almost 2 days waiting for rain and it came two days ago and now looking pretty and smelling awesome
They smell awesome and they're sticky already and they smell awesome

 

It's... it's so beautiful...
