late night candle lit dinner with my love...beer, sake, agedashi tofu, rice, cucumber salad, gyoza, and potato korokke.

 

Just had subway for dinner

 

Tried cooking Bitter Melon for the first time.
Find it somewhat ironic that while it's hailed as being "good for indigestion" it seems most of the things one needs to put on it to make it palatable stand a good chance of causing that very thing.
Standalone, raw, it lives up to it's name well
With a bit of Ginger~Garlic paste with a couple Arbol peppers, a dash of sesame oil and some sweetish Sriracha sauteed in a bit of butter I'm tempted to go make a little more.

Def. adding onions next round.

 

Why can't you professional chefs ever actually get the sauce on the food, instead of scattered around the plate?

One of my favorite things to do

 

I usually try not to spill stuff

 

I went to a sushi place/had a veggie "Baja" roll which was good, but what was especially nice was of course the mango iced tea, but also the edamame! I had them prepare it without the sea salt that usually adorns it... And it was great!

 

This is plating where I come from.

 

Grilled catfish and scallops, salad, wild rice

 

If there is any way one could mix the volume of the latter with the aesthetic of the former that would be magical.

 

Just Finished Sunday Lunch Consisting Of.......Mc Cain Man Size "Pub Style Parma".....(veal schnitzels).

Filled The Void To Perfection........Now To Pour A Glass Of Champagne......Sit On The Verandah.....

And Watch The Approaching Thunder Storm......

I had a snack wrap of sorts; cauliflower and curry in that wrapped with spinach and that ricey stuff they do rolls with at pho places... It was nice! yummy curry.

Plating makes me think of platter, which makes me think of a Bloodhound gang song

 

For Monday Lunch.....Hot Chicken......Salt.....And Sticky Fingers.... .......Damn...Once That Chicken Grease
