We've had a lot of rain today These arent my pictures, I was at work and missed all the fun This is a park not far from me. That's the top of playground equipment and a picnic shelter Same park And a raging waterfall
well it's definitely a picture, so as long as it was taken recently i don't see why it wouldn't count.
Gee...thanks? Heh! Proud to say that the P.O.S. phone is likely gone. Still trying to get a different one.
The blue coating is designed to protect the white lettering while the tires are being shipped from the factory to the supplier to the store and finally to the customer. It can be washed off with soap and water
As a firefighter for years, I have seen this happen way too many times. People just don't understand how deep the water can be. Always thinking that they can drive through it with no issues. What sucks is always had to do rescues for their stupidity.
Kittie Is Looking "All Washed Up".... ....Time To Put Him In The "Dryer" For A Bit...... Cheers Glen.
I took this during the summer. I like hiking railroad tracks...just gotta remember to look over my shoulder occasionally.
Great photo, dice. I also enjoy hiking on railroad tracks. Peaceful, and you get to feel like you are in a movie. And there is a nice little sense of danger. I was actually caught in a "Stand By Me" like scenario once, as a kid. My cousins and I were crossing a railroad bridge and, well, you know the rest of the story.
A train was coming and the bridge had not a lot of space on the sides? I should be dead because of several of such actions as a kid too Have been extremely lucky a few times. One time i crossed a frozen channel with a big basalt stone that i threw on the ice in front of me to check if it waa strong enough. About 20 meters to the right the channel wasn't frozen at all.
I like the idea of hiking railroads but if I did that in the UK I'd end up arrested. Is it legal in the states?
It isn't, but a lot of tracks are infrequently used and cut through rural areas and countryside--so you rarely see a train, or another person.
That's cool. Even the places where tracks go through countryside in UK.. I feel like the minute a train driver saw you they'd be contacting the police and looking out for you at the next place possible. One of those things people take overly seriously there.
Ohhh, a few months ago I was going for a run and I wanted to take a shortcut, and to take this shortcut, I had to cross some high-speed train tracks. I'd done it one million times. So, as I went to cross, my foot got lodged in one of the tracks and I fell forward. I twisted my ankle and my knees got all cut up and I had a HELL of a time trying to get my foot unstuck from the track. I must have been lying on the tracks wrestling with my shoe for a total of 30 seconds, but it honestly felt like an eternity.
