That's a good idea. Maybe we'd find more like that Top Republican in Ohio who got caught having sex with another man in his own office … in the State House! His boyfriend was really going to town on his butt when other people walked in on them.
I have wondered why Graham kisses trump's ass. If you remember, Graham was one of trump's opponents leading up to the primaries, in 2016.Well anyway, I have read that trump is more popular than Graham is, in South Carolina. Therefore, for Lindsay to keep his job, he has to kiss trump's ass.
Eh I'm hanging on to my blackmail theory for now Someone probably has incriminating pics of Graham with a smooth chested young man
Oh, no, can't do that. Heavens to Mergatroid! It would be illegal, since they're not Trump. Weren't you watching Dershowitz's arguments? Only Trump is above the law!
Murkowski comes out against impeachment witnesses, putting Trump on path to acquittal By Judson Berger | Fox News January 31, 2020 Murkowski comes out against impeachment witnesses, putting Trump on path to acquittal excerpt: "Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski came out Friday against calling witnesses in President Trump’s impeachment trial, all but assuring the Senate will move to wrap up proceedings with a likely acquittal in a matter of days, if not hours. “Given the partisan nature of this impeachment from the very beginning and throughout, I have come to the conclusion that there will be no fair trial in the Senate. I don’t believe the continuation of this process will change anything. It is sad for me to admit that, as an institution, the Congress has failed,” said Murkowski, R-Alaska, a key moderate senator who has been closely watched on the witness question."
That's not unexpected of Murkowski. She initially talked like she was concerned about Trump's 2017 corporate tax cut and the attached sabotage of the Affordable Care Act but later submitted to Trump after being given oil drilling rights in the wildlife refuge in Alaska.
Collins and Romney appear to be the only two Republican senators remaining who might vote to permit witnesses in Trump's impeachment trial. Alexander and Murkowski copped out.
Alexander's remark was one of the biggest cop-outs. He mistakenly claimed that the Constitution relegates the power to try an impeached President to the voters, not the U.S. Senate. It's not startling that the Congress has lost its authority and reputation when one of its own members makes such statements. Alexander is using the same type of short-circuit ploy as Dershowitz who tries to circumvent the whole impeachment trial process by claiming that whatever Trump does can't be criminal or impeachable if it is perceived by Trump to be in the public interest. Trump uses the same ploy as Alexander, such as his claim that he's not obligated to release his tax returns because he won the election which supposedly means that the country doesn't want him to disclose them, even though numerous polls indicate otherwise. The general law and the Constitution mean little when the highest officials in the country are making such remarks.
The Constitution and the court system might as well be replaced with a general public popular vote that determines guilt or innocence. That would be the ultimate populist system for populists like Trump.
The Republican Party is a private club for extremely corrupt people. Did you listen to Dershowitz? He misrepresented the work of another scholar, to put up a nice show in front of the Senate. His legal reasoning would earn an F in law school. It really is going to be up to the voters in November. I'm only wondering what other destructive surprises the Trump machine has in mind for the American people? Trump has destroyed the rule of law. destroyed the Constitution damaged the balance of power ruined the IRS ruined the EPA sabotaged the DOJ undermined the military and disrupted the elections And now the Republicans who claim to be patriotic are happy with all the damage. They get to pay less in taxes. And we get to vote in November.
Look it up. If my memory is correct, his name was Goodman? He was the head honcho of the Republicans in Ohio. He and his wife are evangelicals and were openly anti gay??? Go figure???
Trump campaign to fly ‘Keep America Great’ banners at Super Bowl By Skyler Swisher South Florida Sun Sentinel Jan 31, 2020 | 5:03 PM Trump campaign to fly ‘Keep America Great’ banners at Super Bowl excerpt; "President Donald Trump’s campaign is taking its message to the skies over Hard Rock Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday. The campaign is planning to fly two “Keep America Great!" aerial banners from 1-4 p.m. as tens of thousands of football fans gather for the big game ahead of the 6:30 p.m. kickoff."
As I've posted before, I believe that a few white Christian homophobes are homosexual. Nothing wrong with that, just don't be a hypocrite. It's the same thing with abortion. Those that cry the loudest about abortion have probably paid for a few, themselves.
Dershowitz left the impeachment trial early. Something about a family matter in Miami. Yeah sure, trying to get front row seats at the Super Bowl, are we?
Senate slams door on witnesses in Trump impeachment trial Jon Ward, Senior Political Correspondent, Yahoo News January 31, 2020 Senate slams door on witnesses in Trump impeachment trial excerpt: "WASHINGTON — The U.S. Senate on Friday rejected calling witness to the impeachment trial of President Trump, falling short by a slim margin and setting up a final vote to end the proceedings. Two Republicans — Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, and Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine — voted with all 47 Senate Democrats in favor of considering votes to call witnesses and to subpoena documents from the White House. Two more votes were needed to reach the simple majority needed to pass the resolution."
Yes … all about the fake image in public. Fifty years ago when credit cards first were introduced, us hippies called them kind of people "plastic" like a credit card is plastic money. Just look at the Colorado preacher Ted Haggarty, and Rick Austin the Republican radio talk show host out of Texas.
Senate slams door on witnesses in Trump impeachment trial excerpt: "McConnell also defeated efforts to get a witness agreement at the beginning of the trial, nearly two weeks ago. He obtained support from all Republican senators for trial rules that put off the question until after six days of opening arguments and two days of questions. He did so in part by releasing an initial set of rules that were so stringent that it gave him ways to make concessions in exchange for support from key senators who might have otherwise considered voting in favor of calling witnesses at the beginning of the trial."
