So it looks like the republicans will not allow new witnesses, or documents. That's a short term win for trump. However, I think in the long term trump loses. Seventy two percent of americans want to hear witnesses. Many of that seventy two percent are independent voters. I think the true verdict will be delivered in November. trump, and some of those senators who are sitting as jurors may not like that verdict.
A slimy retinue. Dershowitz, Starr, Barr. President Donald Trump Picks Jeffrey Epstein Lawyers For Impeachment | All In | MSNBC Jan 17, 2020 Youtube video:
The Justice Department Has Argued Sex, Information, And Worthless Stock Were “Things Of Value.” But It Said Trump’s Request For Dirt Wasn’t. Justice Department officials declined to open a criminal investigation into Trump’s request to the Ukrainian president because it didn’t have “quantifiable value.” Zoe Tillman, BuzzFeed News Reporter Reporting From Washington, DC Posted on October 3, 2019, at 6:17 p.m. ET https://www.buzzfeednews.com/articl...ll-ukraine-thing-value?bfsource=relatedmanual excerpt: "WASHINGTON — Last week, a senior Justice Department official told reporters that they'd decided not to open a criminal investigation into President Donald Trump’s July call with the Ukrainian president because they couldn’t “quantify” Trump’s request for dirt on former vice president Joe Biden as a “thing of value.” But the Justice Department hasn’t always required a specific price tag to press charges under criminal laws that refer to “things of value,” court records show. Federal prosecutors have brought cases in the past under theories that sex, government information, witness testimony, worthless stock, and more are, legally speaking, “of value.” States and federal courts have found that “amusement,” a promise to reinstate an employee, and an agreement not to run in an election all count as well."
Dont you think it's weird that approval rating has barely moved Forget about whether you like Trump or not. Impeachment ones have been up and down. That approval one though. It's weird
No because even Trump supporters understand you can’t have a legal case without calling witnesses. Even Judge Judy (who most deplorables are familiar with) occasionally calls upon witnesses to answer questions
The interesting poll I saw this morning was on Morning Joe (MSNBC) and it said 83% of all Americas who were asked the same question said they thought the government was working to benefit the rich elite and does not give a flying frock about them. That should have some impact on the November election. Trump and the Republicans keep saying the economy is doing good, but there is little to support that claim. Here in Indiana a substitute teacher is "Technically" employed but they only get $50 per half day and $100 for a full day, and no benefits at all. It's a shit job just like all the minimum wage jobs which are $7.25 per hour. Yes them folks are working, but do they think the economy is great?
I think it was leaked by Trump to give the Republicans "cause" to block things at the Senate trial. The election is now 239 days away.
ohh whaa? another 4 years of this thread that still hasn't produced a single score card? Doesn't the dude play golf? ffs... post a scorecard. I've been harping on about it for three years.

Dershowitz’s power play and a Trump team stumble: The moments that mattered in the Senate Q&A A lengthy question-and-answer session yielded a few exchanges that might make a difference in the trial. By KYLE CHENEY, ANDREW DESIDERIO and DARREN SAMUELSOHN 01/29/2020 08:57 PM EST Updated: 01/29/2020 09:45 PM EST Dershowitz’s power play and a Trump team stumble: The moments that mattered in the Senate Q&A excerpts: "Trump team struggles on Biden question Trump’s lawyers dodged a direct question from two of the most important GOP senators in the chamber — Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine — over whether the president had ever mentioned Joe Biden or his son Hunter to the Ukrainians or his own top staff before the former vice president entered the 2020 race last April. And later, they refused to answer a question from Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), another swing GOP vote, on the exact date that Trump ordered the hold on aid to Ukraine." "Democrats pounced on the contradictions. On the Senate floor, Schiff diverted at the end of the next question to jab back at the initial Collins-Murkowski question. “Are we to believe that of all of the companies in all of the land, of all of the gin joints in all of the land in Ukraine, that it was just Hunter Biden walking into this one, and that is the reason why he was interested in Burisma was just a coincidence that involved the son of his opponent?” he asked."
Of all the issues in Ukraine, Trump just happened to pick his political rival Joe Biden as his target. Trump stumbled and couldn't produce an answer when a reporter asked him about who else he thinks is involved in corruption in Ukraine. For someone who is supposedly ten steps ahead of everyone, Trump should have at least rehearsed a response for a question that was expected to be directed at him. The Trump administration won't say when Trump chose to withhold taxpayer money to Ukraine in relation to when Biden entered the presidential race. Trump has squelched people who could probably answer such a question, such as Bolton, Mulvaney, Pompeo, and Giuliani. Dershowitz claims that the issue of abusing taxpayer money for one's personal gain is moot. He thinks that a President can do whatever he wants, because Dershowitz and Trump, in their egocentric minds, perceive that the personal desire for reelection is in the public interest.
For anyone on the Trump team trying to accuse Obama or Biden of violating the law, according to Dershowitz, whatever they did couldn't be breaking the law because it can be said that they did it to try to be elected or reelected, which is in the public interest.
It seems part of Trump's wall blew over into Mexico. Strong wind knocks part of border wall over into Mexico Segment Of Trump's Border Wall Falls Over Into Mexico Due To Wind A newly built chunk of Trump's new border wall blew over in wind and landed in Mexico That's a national embarrassment. What are they building the thing out of, cardboard? Bullies used to say of the weak, skinny kids in elementary school "A stiff wind could blow you over." Apparently, for the wall it's really true! Must be the rush to get something done before the election. "Haste makes waste". And true to form, Trump continues to insist Mexico is paying for it. Trump reignites claim Mexico will be paying for his border wall: "Soon you will find out" Amazing!
