"In August 2018, Australia and New Zealand sent roughly 140 firefighters to the United States for nearly 30 days. The group was stationed in Northern California, Washington and Oregon. This is the first time since 2010 that the United States is sending firefighters to Australia. Canada is also sending firefighters for the first time." 20 firefighters who battled California blazes head to Australia to help Maybe think before you type

Trump's lawyer should think before they type. They just typed that John Bolton's book is not "admissible in the Senate trial" … indicating they are trying to cover up what Trump has done.
Trump Mideast peace plan expands Israeli territory, offers path to Palestinian statehood Elements of the plan, which the president announced at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have been criticized by Palestinians. By Shannon Pettypiece Jan. 28, 2020, 2:09 PM EST / Updated Jan. 28, 2020, 3:45 PM EST Trump Mideast peace plan expands Israeli territory, offers path to Palestinian statehood excerpt: "The White House later said that Israel had agreed to a four-year "land freeze" for areas the plan would designate as part of a possible Palestinian state — though it appeared that would not apply to settlements in areas that could remain under permanent Israeli control under the proposal, which one official said could include as much as 30 percent of the West Bank. U.S. ambassador to Israel David Friedman added that preconditions for Palestinian statehood would include "a complete dismantling of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, other terrorist groups" and the development of a system of government that meets international standards for human rights, freedom of religion, rule of law and the fight against corruption. Trump has called the proposal, whose development was spearheaded by son-in-law and White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, “the deal of the century,” touting the prospect of brokering an agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinian as one of his top priorities since the first day of his administration — even as most observers have said the plan is effectively dead on arrival."
Netanyahu indicted and Trump impeached. The two are preaching how they will form a new government in the Mideast that fights corruption. Next, they will be claiming they should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Israel's Netanyahu indicted in corruption cases, hours before Mideast peace plan announced By Oren Liebermann and Amir Tal, CNN Updated 7:55 AM ET, Tue January 28, 2020 Benjamin Netanyahu indicted in corruption cases - CNN excerpt: "Jerusalem (CNN) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was formally indicted on corruption charges Tuesday, just hours before he was set to meet President Donald Trump for the unveiling of the US administration's long-anticipated Middle East plan. Netanyahu has been charged with bribery and fraud and breach of trust in three separate corruption cases. Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit submitted the indictment in Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday shortly after Netanyahu withdrew his request for parliamentary immunity, a request he was almost certain to lose. Netanyahu has insisted he is innocent, calling the investigations an "attempted coup" driven by the left and the media. The charges in court mean that Netanyahu will be the first sitting prime minister to face trial in the country's history. A trial date has not been set yet, but the legal process could possibly take years."
It would be nice if Israel would meet international standards for human rights, freedom of religion, rule of law, and governmental corruption. Trump's plan also omits any mention of a Palestinian Right Of Return to their former homes, and also omits the fact that the United Nations has been calling on a settlement freeze since 1967. The United Nations created Israel in November of 1947, at the same moment it created Palestine which had been a part of the Ottoman Empire prior to that time. During this Trump Trick, the Palestinian officials were not consulted and were not invited to the public announcement.
I was thinking the Palestine Peace deal was more of a political deflection which both of these corrupt leaders needed.
Trump's narcissism pathology again. Trump Says He’s the Only Person Who Knows ‘What the Hell Happened to Fox News’ President says Fox News’ booking of Democratic lawmakers is “pathetic” Lindsey Ellefson January 28, 2020 @ 9:17 AM Trump Says He's the Only Person Who Knows 'What the Hell Happened to Fox News' excerpt: “…..So, what the hell has happened to @FoxNews. Only I know! Chris Wallace and others should be on Fake News CNN or MSDNC. How’s Shep Smith doing? Watch, this will be the beginning of the end for Fox, just like the other two which are dying in the ratings. Social Media is great!” he concluded. "
I was thinking the Australians looked like weaklings and needed American help. Their women are sure pretty, especially in a itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini.
One America News Network is Trump's new favorite outlet. Fox wasn't sufficiently fringe for him. One America News Network From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia One America News Network - Wikipedia
Very true. My beef on this subject is that the USA has used its UN Security Council Veto unfairly more than 70 times.
Trump's impeachment tantrums reveal a fragile ego obsessed with saving his legacy Fear is dominating Trump's decision-making right now. It’s a sense of panic, masquerading as strength. By Kurt Bardella, NBC News THINK contributor Nov. 16, 2019, 4:30 AM EST Opinion | What Trump's tantrums reveal about his growing fear of impeachment excerpts: "While Trump may have deluded himself into believing that this kind of bullying projects strength, I think it reveals the exact opposite. Donald Trump is afraid. This is a man who has spent the entirety of his adult life plastering his name on skyscrapers and casinos; this is a man who is obsessed with his own legacy. And that’s why impeachment is the permanent stain that Trump deserves — and one he clearly fears. Axios reported recently that Trump has said privately impeachment is a “bad thing to have on your resume.” He doesn’t want impeachment to be the first thing written about him in the world's history books." "Trump’s unhinged tweets and press outbursts are a manifestation of what feels a lot like desperation. And the more desperate Trump becomes, the more outrageous his rhetoric will become and the more his paranoia will grow. He will continue to howl and bark in the hopes that he can both scare anyone willing to cooperate with impeachment and maintain his GOP-firewall of protection. But just remember, like any bully, the louder he yells, the more scared he is."
Republicans For The Rule Of Law Republicans for the Rule of Law excerpt: "The president should not have raised the Biden issue on that call, period. It’s not appropriate for a president to engage a foreign government in an investigation of a political opponent. SEN. ROB PORTMAN A sitting president asking foreign powers to investigate fellow US citizens and political rivals should not, and cannot be normalized. REP. JIM STEINEKE It’s a deeply disturbing situation and circumstance, and I think the proper role and responsibility for Congress at this point is to investigate it and get to the bottom of it. GOV. CHARLIE BAKER Congress has a solemn responsibility to every American to fulfill its role in our government system of checks and balances GOV. PHIL SCOTT"
As long as we’re talking about political power, let’s designate old, fat white rich men as a minority and have political clout proportional to their number, not their wealth. Everyone else would gain power.
After trying to defend Trump's corrupt behavior by attacking Obama (whose administration had zero indictments, zero convictions, and zero sentences in 8 years), Trump's defense team takes the sordid position of trying to pressure Republican senators to vote to prevent Trump administration witnesses from testifying at the trial, the witnesses Trump said he'd love to hear. Impeachment trial: Trump defence wraps up amid Bolton bombshell BBC News January 29, 2020 Trump defence concludes amid Bolton bombshell excerpt: "Mr Bolton reportedly writes that Mr Trump directly withheld security aid to Ukraine for his own political benefit. The report added weight to the Democratic Party's call for witnesses. The president's Republican Party has tried to resist calls for witnesses to testify, largely out of concern over what Mr Bolton might say. Four Republicans would need to side with Democrats in a vote on whether new testimony will be heard. US media outlets reported on Tuesday that Mitch McConnell, the most senior Republican, had told his senators during a closed-door meeting that following the Bolton reports the party did not have the votes to hold off witnesses. But Mr McConnell and his leadership team were reportedly confident of pressuring enough Republican senators by the end of the week to win a vote."
