The ones I met were super honorable, very intellectual, and polite. I have a friend who served in the NAVY for 8 years and was stationed there, and married a Japanese woman. He now speaks fluent Japanese. My own father did business there. I still have his Japanese business cards. They are so cool. I like to see my own name in Japanese.
There's plenty of fearmongering to go around. The media wasted no time trotting out, of all things, "The Draft".
There's definitely American vehicles in the middle east. A lot of it came about because America supplied certain countries with vehicles and weapons to help destroy ISIS but they just ended up using them to fight other wars too.
Let's see ... you mention Kuwait, and I respond with an unflattering comment you don't like about that country. You then respond with a comment about Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Tunis (a city in Tunisia), Algeria, Morocco. Hellooooooooooo! Speaking of Iraq- they have mutah marriage there, all in accord with that horrendous misogynist ideology that so pervades the Middle East. Perhaps you'd like to read up on it before you go extolling the enlightened status of women in Iraq. And your claim, "unless maybe in a place like Saudi Arabia where America has full control" is utter and complete nonsense. We have no such thing. Guess you don't know much about the Middle East.
A draft would be a bad thing for the cause of liberty and a very bad thing for the US Army. Good for the USA though.
I never felt more American than I did the time I visited Japan. Walking into places where everyone looked like me was a new experience. It was almost empowering. But then you start talking to people and you realize that culturally, you couldn't be more different. Wonderful place to visit. Hokkaido is the most beautiful place on earth but I dont think I could live there
Protests in Iran, people call for the head of the Ayotollah Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump To the leaders of Iran - DO NOT KILL YOUR PROTESTERS. Thousands have already been killed or imprisoned by you, and the World is watching. More importantly, the USA is watching. Turn your internet back on and let reporters roam free! Stop the killing of your great Iranian people! Protests break out in Iran
I like Chinese people but I don't think I'd ever go to China even if I want to walk some of that wall.
I was the same way about Alabama. It's an absolutely beautiful place with some smaller exceptions. But, eventually you have to deal with the locals. I had the same feeling in upstate NY. I was suddenly surrounded by fellow Catholics. In the south a LOT of "Christians" actually think Catholics are idol-worshoping pagans. And don't mind expressing this bigotry loud and proud. Culture is a local phenomenon first I think.
