  2. I’ve never found being called a yank offensive. I think some people look for reasons to be offended. The rest of us could care less. Do Brits think they are insulting us when they call us yanks?

    Slang is taking the mickey out of different words.
    If an aussie asks you for tomato sauce you might get something like "i'd like some dead horse please."
