It's not only a matter of sympathy/empathy. It's simply unwanted as well as impractical to simply lock all crazy and disturbed people up.

 

This begs the question: Are all crazy people harmful enough to be locked up? Surely there are some crazy people out there who wouldn’t harm anyone.

 

I thought I answered that question already in that quote. Even if some of them are harmful in their disturbed state it doesn't mean they should be locked up. Some can be treated. I guess this is why we don't lock every crazy or disturbed person up. Yes, it has something to do with empathy and sympathy, which has something to do with acknowledging they're mentally sick. And locking all mentally unhealthy/sick/disturbed people up (also if they committed a crime) is only a 'solution' for people who want them out of the way for 'normal' people (the easy solution).

You know what I find interesting too, news sources often do not mention the ethnicity of the perpetrator, unless they are white and from the given country. But will mention it for the victim. In many countries this has become a rule, and could be faced with a lawsuits due to the negative publicity it gives to a so called minority, or immigrants coming in from a specific area. It should be publicized for everyone in my opinion.

Your hero also hates Muslims and has just dispatched 750 82nd Airborne civilian killers along with 4000 Marine Corps civilian killers to Iraq, so they can kill the Iraqis who object to their oil being stolen by your tolerant hero. Maybe you could write a letter to the editor to one of Iraq's newspapers so they could understand your Conservative methods of tolerance.

 

Criticism on tolerance does not mean someone's a Trump supporter by definition. Sometimes your criticism on the Republican party and voters is very valid, at other times its unnuanced drivel coming from personal dislike.

Yes Asmo … it is personal dislike. I have personal dislike for most dishonest Republicans. Here where I live the Republican lawmakers have written laws which favor businessmen. Business men like car dealers can now misrepresent things to customers , and even lie about contractual matters such as a car warrantee. A real estate sales man in my state can lie about a house and the state investigators would never do anything about it. I actually had a house seller write the contract for a "site built wood construction" house. My inspector discovered that it was a mobile home with the wheels and identification numbers removed, so the bank refused the financing. A car repair facility can fix your alternator problem but also ruin your flywheel, and then deny responsibility. The state investigator would not do anything about it. Our state is controlled by Republicans and they think it is just peachy when the businessman rips-off the ordinary man. Now I have a strong dislike for dishonest Republicans.
