Your source states 95% of the increase in federal crimes over the last 20 years is due to immigration crimes. With a 50,000 arrest increase between 2017 and 2018 - which makes sense, considering the Trump administration has made illegal immigration such a huge priority.

So in other words, of the 64% of arrests you cited that were comprised of non-US citizens, 95% of those were arrested for immigration related crimes. Not petty crime, not violent crime or drug crime, just things like illegal border crossing.

Your source also points out non-US citizens comprised 15% of all non-immigration related crime.

that always confused me. i completely understand seasonal depression, but that normally hits later in the winter, when you haven't seen the sun for 6 months straight. december seems pretty early for that, but it might still be a factor.

i think the main idea is supposed to be that people without families are depressed by seeing all the happy families. which basically comes down to putting too much trust in the media, since i don't really see a difference this time of year in real life, but i know the tv likes to focus more on family during the holiday season. but that still doesn't explain the situation you're questioning, since obviously the woman in question had a family. to some extent, i think we just have yet to figure out what makes people work the way they do.

at this point we're just talking semantics. i'm sure there's exceptions, but in a vast majority of situations disliking mexicans directly correlates to disliking hispanics. also, the perception that a hispanic in iowa must be mexican seems like a fairly racist assumption.

In other words, they were denied for a legit reason, like a criminal history in South America, Mexico, or where ever they are from, and/or previously committed a crime in the US as a non citizen and were deported after serving time.

That means leave and don’t come back.

I don’t know about you, but I see a steady decline in prosecution numbers since Obama left. Perhaps Trump isn’t doing a very good job of protecting the people living in America? 2015 numbers under Obama was even higher. These are just the ones caught, how many managed to get through? But hey, let’s open the border!

personally, I would rather people be not admissible if they have committed such crimes Listed above in the USA or elsewhere as non citizens., maybe you think differently and the murderer, rapists, gun traffickers, drug trafficking, individuals who assaulted people, beat their wife, raped someone, human traffickers, drunk drivers who are not citizens should be allowed to remain, or be your next door neighbor.

I am all for people convicted of crimes, being released and given a second chance, as long as it isn’t involving molesting a child, murder, or rape of a person. they get zero second chances with me. But if you are not of the USA you do not get to remain. Fix your life back in your homeland.

 

many get depressed during the holidays, and stressed too., I do wonder if this woman additionally was suffering from postpartum depression that went untreated or unaddressed, seeing as she had a 14 month old. Postpartum can last for many years if it is not addressed, assistance and help is not provided. Seasonal depression usually hits hard by February for those who suffer from it

They use crime statistics for the average length of time illegals are in your country, less than 9 years and compare that to US citizens that live their whole life there, 50 + years

Crimes they commit back in Mexico or wherever before they come and after they are deported are not included in those figures

Adjust for that discrepency, and yes they do commit crimes at a higher rate

 

Are you saying that in reporting the U.S. crime rate we should be including crimes committed outside the U.S.? I think the claim to which I was responding is that the decline in crime in the U.S. since the early 90s was owing to an alleged crackdown on illegal immigration starting with Bill Clinton. (S)he who asserts must prove. At minimum, there is no evidence to support her claim--certainly not for legal immigrants, and not apparently for the illegals either.

 

The woman is obviously mentally ill. She stabbed one boyfriend, threatened to kill another, has restraining orders against her, showed up in court and was called incoherent,and has a lengthy record of disturbances.

 

She's a typical Trump follower.

 

I feel like there's merit to that statement; which is really sad.

 

I seriously doubt she has voted in the last 30 years
