The incarceration rate has risen steadily and pretty drastically since 1980 so these numbers for immigrants seem to follow a general trend. How did the prison population change for american citizens during the same time? Your argument would only make sense if incarceration rose at a much slower rate for natural born american citizens.

And as we all know, there were some tough crime bills passed during the 80s and 90s that affected non violent drug offenders and disproportionately affected minorities moreso than whites, which also must be taken into consideration here

 

While the Holiday season generally brings out the best in people, it can also bring out the worst, as was the case in Boston where a mother of 2 tossed her children ages 4, and 14 months off the roof of a parking garage, then killed herself in a double-murder, suicide.

You're free to create any definition that suits you, but having a credible source is even better. A perception that someone wears a size-10 shoe is a perception of outward appearance; however, attacking someone for that reason still wouldn't be an expression of racism, except by your definition. A little bit. Just posed pictures like that simply do not ring true for me. It is staged. I would rather see a picture that shows who she is. A class photo, a picture of her, showing her innocence, how she is a happy girl, or was and this is who this woman hurt. And/or A raw photo of her and the injuries she sustained to her face.

That picture is designed to gain sympathy, which for me it does not. Shows me a made up image of her. I do not like that kind of photography when it comes to news. It isn’t real, when news is suppose to be. I do believe that photo journalists have a responsibility to show the real story, not some posed or staged photo.

 

No one can understand filicide, perhaps she was suffering from postpartum depression I don’t know, but the Massachusetts case is similar in some respects to the case in Pennsylvania earlier this year when a mother claimed her 8-year old son, and her 4-year old daughter deliberately hung themselves in the family basement. She was later charged with their murder.

 

I profit from helping to promote a world in which people are clear and honest about what they're saying. We all profit from such a world. I think your hyper-narrow use of "racism" is a form of denial. Whether somebody runs over a kid because of an actual racial genotype or because of perceived physical characteristics associated with an ethnic group is irrelevant. Hate is hate. Hate of people in an ascribed category is the functional equivalent of racism. She also deliberately assaulted a black kid in her car. Is that not racism either? Own it.
