a sheepie (a fleece, actually a synthetic one, cut and sewen into a kind of vest shape), under a heavy coat with a hood, and two layers of undershirts under my regular shirt.
and when it gets really cold, there's a kind of leather vest (the first one i made for myself was when i was in the society for creative inacrhonism., the one i have now is my second. they last decades and its a good thing they do), i wear over the sheepie under the coat.
i used to have a parka for below freezing weather. they're expensive these days. i guess they always were.
anyway i wore out the last of those i had almost ten years ago.
the layers i have now when i need them, are sufficient and not too cumbersome, when i don't have to spend a lot of time out in it,
which is a thing i'm very thankful for that i'm lucky enough currently to not have to.
