Don't forget Jimmy (The Greek) Snyder who said that blacks were “bred” to be better athletes than whites, and Al Campanis who said "blacks don’t have the intellect to become managers,
and can’t swim because we don't have the buoyancy" ...lol....

Since his comments there have been 15 black managers in MLB, and while whites dominate the Collegiate Swimming Association, there are black universities like Howard that have swimming teams,
that compete on a national level.

Yes they are, I probably wouldn't eat the colon alone though, I mean not without the fars made from minced meat, but thats just because the colon is rather tasteless by it self

I agree, little use in chewing on a piece of pig colon.

    My reply:
I don't recall that one. However, back in the 60's and 70's there was a famous bloopers and gag reel being pedalled on network television that aired the following live during a football game: "LOOK AT THAT SONOFABITCH GO!!", also in reference to a kickoff return. It was hilarious back then when it was live, and it remained so, even though, at that time, calling anyone was considering perfect grounds in court for getting punched in the face and beat on.

It would be nice if we could retain our current trend for going after real crimes while dumping this petty crap altogether. That's my opinion, and here in America we can say it, post it, and live it. Sorry about the rest of you who don't enjoy American rights.

I don't have time to educate you, man. I'm sorry.

@Varmint Each time a comedian makes a joke laced with racial tones, we are forced to make a decision. We can shrug it off and laugh, or we can walk the other way. I find it enriches my life to turn away from the vibe I get from that brand of humor. So I'm asking others to join me.

It's not complex at all. You make light of racism and perpetuate its very essence by participating in that type of joke. So, I don't tell them and I don't laugh at them. If they're on TV, I change the fucking channel.

And when I notice they're on the forum I say something.

How did the Germans conquer Poland so fast?

They marched in backwards and the Polish thought they were leaving..

  11. Here in australia we have a game of football that is in 5 different codes.
A famous geelong player actually got fired due to calling a triple m caller a fuckwit.

  12. That's a remarkably arrogant thing to say to anyone. However, you're free to express it if you want, nobody here is going to "penalize" you.

I remember a time when race issues were made light of by all sides involved. Mel Brooks made a fortune with it. So did Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor and Dave Chappelle. And ALL of them capitalized on "the word" as often as they wanted. Sure, it pissed some people off, but most of us understood the humor. It didn't automatically confirm us all to be "racists", which seems to be the odd modus today.

Another aspect of that time was that we all knew back then that there were assholes and shitheads in the ranks of all races. Today it seems like we are now ranking them according to race, which is preposterous on it's face.

ANY human being can be an asshole, racist, sexist or elitist. Regardless of race. Anyone claiming to be the exception to this simply doesn't understand how to play fair.

But what's really amazing to me is how many people today think they personally suffered the events that predate them. If that's the case, than I should be furious with the Romans for enslaving my ancestors. Of course, I'd be laughed out of Rome or committed to an asylum.

  14. I reckon it's the way how you're raised by your family.
There are so many people who think that making a joke about somebody's nationality is ok and is funny.
In reality it makes them racist because of the range of insults they are being called.
Here in Australia we have a close relationship with all indigenous people. The funny thing is with what you have posted up here with the romans, it rings true with the aboriginal population here in Australia who know that they were invaded by English convicts a few centuries ago.
Now the only issue is indigenous people now get racially abused whether it's by some uneducated wanker who thinks it's funny to do so, or it's one comment.
On social media this year has come up with a lot of negative comments that have racist overtones to them.
The latest one was on instagram where one of the west coast eagles indigenous players had a racist slur against his family as the idiot who posted it up wanted to use a spear to kill his oldest daughter.
If any of you find that funny you need to educate yourselves. Remember YOU are the issue here. You see aboriginal people to be attacked because you think it's funny. You need to educate yourselves.

But the Romans got their asses handed to them in Teutoberg forest, not far from where the mighty Irminsul stood. :) one of the more technological armies in ancient history, with automatic firing weapons couldn't compete with the sheer will and determination of the Germanic tribes. When you fight in battle, willing to die to reach your afterlife and glory, you can defeat anybody as your soul reason and purpose was to die gloriously in battle. There's no fear at that point. Sticks and stones made an empire crumble, because the Roman gods are a bunch sissies not worth dying for. ;)

  17. But that too is a rigged game. Consider the centuries that have passed since the Spanish first arrived in the America's. By the time of Jamestown and the Pilgrims most of the diseases brought to the Americas from Spain and Portugal had already done the greatest part of their damage.

What I take exception to is the very term "indigenous" since that has to be quantified back to the dawn of humanity. At what point does any nation earn the "right" to call themselves rightful owners of any territory? Most of the nation on this planet have been wrought by conflict and conquest. So, who was the "worst" in this, and who was the "best"?

What blows my mind these days is how many people can be driven to a state of collective whining and griping, over a "slur". It's absolutely amazing how thin skinned people have become. And yet, shut off the power and water for a few days and see how far ANYONE regresses.

It's weird the line between artificial "concern" and the reality of diminished resources.

  18. Ok I use the word indigenous because it includes everyone who is a native of their country.
(for example, america has african americans, some mexicans, some indians, etc. All of them are indigenous)

Non indigenous people tend to be ignorant when it comes to indigenous people.
The amount of racial slurs that are made towards them on social media is disgusting.

Everyone needs to be careful about what it is they say when around indigenous people. It doesn't take much for an indigenous person to become angry with the racial attacks they are copping.

Where i used to work i had to be respectful around my bosses who were from different parts of india. It was in a restaurant that sold lots of indian and asian spices and some foods.
It was an eye opener for me.
But it made me cautious when around other people.

  19. Right, but who decides the time factor? There are no places on the planet that have not been conquered by one form of human or another. And ethnic arrogance is not exclusive to any particular group. I've worked for various companies from around the planet. I've been around the world creating the best documentation a client can possibly expect, especially if it is to be translated from English.

What's interesting is how so many cultural and nationalist inclinations exist on the planet, but only 1 narrow subset has been selected to represent the very worst of humanity, for all of history; the Americans. I get so tired of hearing that kind of shit. Sometimes I wonder if an off-world threat will be the ONLY way to unite the varietal tribes of humanity. All this bitching about ages ago in the modern age is really amazing. But only for the effect it has to create animosity where it may not have occurred organically.

We humans have allowed technology to fool us into thinking we're more advanced than the people of 10,000 years ago. We're not. BUT, we are a LOT more aware of our limitations than at any other time. I think the quest to solve these problems "quickly" is selling all of us short of the permanence we'd know if we came by it all naturally. Unfortunately, that ship sailed a few centuries ago, and we're all just fucked now!

  20. The indigenous people do.
