As i understand throwing homosexuals off rooftops remains pretty rare. Doesn't mean they're tolerant of homosexuals of course. See how nuancing makes sense?

And these various groups are all the bane of white tax hating men and thought by those men to be culturally inferior. Maybe I am not being clear or you are just obtuse. The humor never changes even if the person does.

Muslims= classified to the alt-right as a "race" of people. Many are not white and they are by definition not Christian. This is an insult the alt-right culture which thinks white men did everything important in history and Jesus is the one and only messiah. To counter this they often say "Islam is not a race" so they are not racist. In yours and their context it's the same.

Black people= Also a race and hated for the same reason so the joke is interchangeably. Really anyone who does not think or look like a white male is the lazy and stupid one.

You are not the first to try to label me the racist since I'm a white guy who says things are racist and you did not even do in the best fashion. I take comfort that the people I stand up for will in general say I am not the racist one. That is what matters to me. What do the victims think? Am I really helping them or am I pigeonholing them in an attempt to help?

If we each went to a mosque and read out posts here which one do you think would get more respect? If you think it's you it's damn sure not. You have even expressed fear of Muslims attacking you before. OK, so that's either because you know you offend them or in your racist views they are savage and do that all the time.

Islam sucks for sure, but so do most fundamentalist religions...at least the ones that I am familiar with. I don't cut Christianity any slack because of the abuses of Islam.

Who is they? The problem here is you overgeneralize. The only reported recent incidents of throwing gays off roofs are of ISIS. Are we to conclude that this is SOP for Muslims, or that all Muslims are like ISIS? I don't think so. ISIS is an extremist terrorist organization which seems to be pretty much on the ropes. Most Muslims didn't support it. I've heard reports that this goes on in Saudi Arabia and Iran, too, but not from reliable sources. Islam isn't gay friendly, that's for sure, but there is no death penalty for gays in Lebanon, Tunisia, Jordan, Bahrain, Oman, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Kuwait, and Indonesia (so far), among others.

People like 6-eyed and ************ know they're overgeneralizing, Okie. They do it on purpose. I guess it either increases the fun for them or it makes them somehow feel better about themselves/their own.

Me neither, but somewhere after i got out of my adolescence I saw more use in focussing criticism on the bad aspects instead of shitting constantly allover them. I can even see how and why islam is also called the religion of peace. And no, I'm not dismissing all the bad stuff when I see that. I'm merely focussing on another side of islam that people like 6-eyed seem to chronically dismiss.

I obviously mean even as it seems a crazy thing to consider for certain others. Not because I have such a high or legendary view of myself...

Edit: is this the only stuff you got in response? Or are you going for the angle 'I just make silly remarks to show him he's not worth a serious response'. Try better because it really looks like you got nothing.

  9. Has anybody pointed out yet that the whole premise for this joke is based on some made up idea that Muslim women only make left turns?

Though it would be interesting to see what kind of turn to race ratio there is. What if white people did make more left turns than blacks? Or what if white people made mostly left turns? Or what if black people made exactly equal right and left turns. Sometimes I wonder if most of my turns are right or left turns. It's weird how we don't pay attention to body language. Where I could actually be saying this whole big thing about making a right hand turn, but no one notices if I make that turn.

But yeah, I seriously doubt Muslim women never turn right. Even a head turn is a turn. I believe if two cats got into a fight to the right of a Muslim woman, she would at least turn her head slightly to the right if she noticed them.

What's funny about the idea that Muslim women only turn left? haha She's Muslim?

Yes, it was pointed out by several people that the joke in the OP is only funny to people who want it to be funny or really believe (or wanna portray it as such) that living in an islamic country is hell by definition for every woman.

I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet

All we need to make this statement Sharia Law is to say she must also cover her body so men are not tempted. And funny enough Christianity also has this belief. This is why nuns cover their heads. The hair of a female is very nice for men and the angels so women who serve and please god remove their sexuality.

A great example of no rights for 6. It would seem women can do whatever they want in some ways in the Middle East.

The STEM Paradox: Why Are Muslim-Majority Countries Producing So Many Female Engineers?

For the Tunisian women—faculty members at the school—the song was a reminder of their childhoods. For the Americans, it was a reminder that they were in the right place. They had come to dig into an emergent and counterintuitive pattern of data: There are, in many cases, a larger proportion of women studying and pursuing STEM careers inside developing, Muslim-majority countries than in the U.S.—and in some countries, those numbers are rising further.

For Americans, the vision of a 1950s mother crooning such a lullaby to her daughter probably sounds anomalous. Back then, most women were neither encouraged nor permitted to work in a masculine career like engineering. And today, they are still underrepresented in STEM careers overall and in engineering specifically: Only 18.4 percent of bachelor’s degrees in engineering go to women, and women make up between 8 and 34 percent of the engineering workforce, depending on the subfield. A couple of years ago the researchers began to wonder: What could Americans learn about our approach to this enduring disparity by looking outside of our borders?

“The West has invested billions of dollars to address the issue of gender inequality in engineering and computing and has basically failed,” explains Washington State University adjunct associate engineering professor Ashley Ater Kranov, the investigator who came up with the initial research. “I started thinking maybe we’re asking the wrong questions—questions that won’t help us solve the problem.”

Ater Kranov, along with Jennifer DeBoer, an assistant professor of engineering education at Purdue University, recently came back from conducting research in Tunisia, Malaysia, and Jordan, all countries that they chose to study based on counterintuitive research that two other academics, Maria Charles and Karen Bradley, published in 2009 and then in a subsequent article in 2011. Charles and Bradley, professors at the University of California at Santa Barbara and Western Washington University, respectively, had found that the STEM gender gap was smaller in countries like Iran, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and Oman than in the U.S.—in other words, men still made up the majority of STEM graduates overall, but there were more women by comparison. They even found a reverse gender gap in those same nations when it came to certain STEM measurements—for instance, women in Iran, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Uzbekistan earned more than 50 percent of the total number of science degrees. On the flip side, the Netherlands was the weakest country for women’s representation in science. A similar pattern held true for engineering: While the most male-dominated engineering programs were in developed countries like Japan, Switzerland, Germany, and the U.S., Indonesia boasted 48 percent female engineers.

Afghanistan has less laws on the books than America. Consequently, their population has less government restriction. If you are unable to understand this simple explanation, I can't help you.

Sounds like you’re making an argument for less government regulation.

Nice try. I was just contrasting other populations within the context of this thread. I Think This Thread was started as a license to badmouth Muslims. Now I will point your attention to Sara Mayer of Brooklyn New York who killed herself four months after her sister committed suicide. Both of these Jewish women were victims of forced marriage … right here in the good old USA. They were FORCED to MARRY their own cousin.

Sigh... I'm not outraged in any way. I even dig a good joke on this subject, that's not the issue at all.
Yes, that he is regularly trying to trigger people like this plays a role in how other regulars react.

Well, Alfred Packer and Jeffery Dahmer were cannibals, just like the Americans of the Donner Party. That's a lot of cannibals people. It's historical proof Americans are cannibals. From these few examples we can deduce the character of all Americans, just like they generalize about all Muslims.

    You literally said:

The nation which has less laws is more free.

    6-eyed asked name one.

You come up with countries like Afghanistan. You really think unless your part of some mob you experience more freedom there than in the US?
