The house is about to make the proceedings public, so Fox News can cover it in depth, while the justice department is about to start arresting people if they don't produce his taxes. Obama famously used a rope-a-dope on Donald Duck, but you can be sure he never learned his lesson. The man is so obviously his own worst enemy he makes Gerald Ford look graceful. As Donald Duck himself has proven, talk is cheap, unless you have to pay lawyers.
If the entire republican party refuses to impeach the man, they will become guilty of obstruction, while they have already been complaining about the same laws they created themselves. If your congressmen need a lawyer to advise them about the same laws they themselves create, they are guilty of gross incompetence, explaining all the corruption, and should be disbarred for life.
Trump, Lifelong New Yorker, Declares Himself a Resident of Florida The president filed a “declaration of domicile” last month saying that his property in Palm Beach will be his permanent residence. Changing his primary residence could carry significant tax implications for President Trump. By Maggie Haberman Oct. 31, 2019 Updated 8:59 p.m. ET Trump, Lifelong New Yorker, Declares Himself a Resident of Florida excerpt: "The person also said that Mr. Trump, who is deeply unpopular in New York, was infuriated by a subpoena filed by Cyrus R. Vance Jr., the Manhattan district attorney, seeking the president’s tax returns, which Mr. Trump has not released. Changing his residence to Florida is not expected to have any effect on Mr. Vance’s case, which Mr. Trump has sought to thwart with a federal lawsuit. It was unclear how much time he would spend in New York in the future or if he would keep his triplex at the top of Trump Tower. Under New York law, if he spends more than 184 days a year there, he will have to pay state income taxes. In a statement after The New York Times reported on Mr. Trump’s move, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York said: “Good riddance. It’s not like Mr. Trump paid taxes here anyway. He’s all yours, Florida.”"
Maybe he can find cheap property near Disneyland, he could become the new state bird. Florida doesn't know the meaning of shame, so he'll fit right in.
Our transformers finally came in today, so I had to haul ass to get a bunch of shit tested to ship out to our customers. Since the tariffs we have had trouble getting parts made of steel in on time, and the price has increased. Thanks to Donald.
He's the second republican president in a row to ruin our economy, so I'd get used to it if I were you. That's 120 million people who insist the guy is doing the right thing, and should be above the law.
Tracking President Trump's Flip-Flops By Jane C. Timm Nov. 19, 2016, 9:32 PM EST / Updated May 12, 2017, 12:10 PM EDT Tracking Donald Trump's flip-flops excepts: "I love golf, but if I were in the White House? I don't think I'd ever see Turnberry again, I don't think I'd ever see Doral again," he said in New Hampshire ahead of their primary. "I'd just want to stay in the White House and work my ass off and make great deals." "Because I'm going to be working for you, i'm not going to have time to play golf. Believe me," Trump told a Virginia crowd in August 2016.
Tracking President Trump's visits to Trump properties The president regularly visits his personal properties and golf courses in Virginia, Florida, and New Jersey. By Liz Johnstone Dec. 29, 2017, 12:00 PM EST / Updated Oct. 22, 2019, 12:00 PM EDT Tracking the president's visits to Trump properties excerpt: "However, the precise number of times Trump has actually played golf is difficult to track. His administration has tried to hide Trump's activity, keeping his traveling press pool away and often refusing to confirm whether he has played golf. Instead, social media has become a source of crowd-sourced reporting into the president's whereabouts. During the campaign, Trump argued that Americans should vote for him because he would rarely leave Washington. He promised that he wouldn't go golfing or take vacations because there was too much work to do."
Trump's audacious, reelection-focused impeachment defense Stephen Collinson Profile Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN Updated 7:51 AM ET, Fri November 1, 2019 Donald Trump's audacious, reelection-focused impeachment defense - CNNPolitics excerpt: "By linking impeachment so closely to the election, Trump is putting any wavering Senate Republicans who might disapprove of his behavior in a very difficult spot. Failing to support him wholeheartedly means senators will have to explain to their own voters why they are condemning a Republican President in his reelection effort. The tactic is so audacious because it effectively asks Republicans to buy into an alternative reality, unmoored from fact, that is being perpetrated by the President and his friends on conservative media. With this approach the merits of the case do not matter -- since Trump has simply invented a new one. While potentially effective in a short-term political sense, the tactic begs searching, historic questions about the fabric of the US political system and shape of the Presidency. Accepting Trump's argument means that a lawmaker is going on the record to say that it is OK for a President to condition taxpayer funded US aid on the return of political favors. And it raises the prospect that the President's unfettered vision of his own power would be vindicated by the impeachment process and leave him essentially free to do exactly what he wants for the next year, and for four years beyond reelection."
I don't think Trump will be rich for much longer. I think the Southern District prosecutors and the IRS will confiscate his illegally gotten wealth and fine him for tax evasion. Evasion fines can be very stiff. For bank fraud related to loans, the fines will be very punitive. The feds might even confiscate some of his hotels and golf course resorts. After that period of turmoil and substantial prison time, Trump will likely run away to live in Israel to live in a donated apartment.
If you mean he saw Trump abuse presidential powers in an effort to coerce a desperate ally eager to defend itself against Trump's buddy Vladimir Putin in order to gain political advantage over a United States citizen for personal gain, then yes, he was very interested in what was going on. Why shouldn't he be? He's an assistant to the National Security Council for God's sake, and a patriot. I would think he could be held accountable for dereliction of duty otherwise.
I truly believe most Republicans would be glad to vote for Trump's impeachment, but are afraid of doing so because they'll lose votes. Instead they're privately hoping others will cast those votes and they won't have to. The problem is that's the way they all think, let the other guy, or gal, take the risk, I'm covering my ass. True patriots, think how far the American revolution would have gotten with these people around.
