Apparently when it came out on Netflix a lot of younger people who missed it first time round, and some our age whose perspectives had changed, found it really dated in a non pc way. Things like joking about Monica used to be fat, Ross's wife being a lesbian, Joey being a sleeze... Haha. It's not in line with today's ideas.
I've heard this too...Chandler's dad being a cross dresser was another complaint I watched an episode last night where Ross freaked out because his lesbian ex wife was letting their son play with barbies lol
Bet I was in my teens then. And yeah, in general women mature a bit faster so it makes sense a lot of younger women digged it but recalcitrant pubering men far less
