    No, I didn't mean me.

But there are extreme people who seem to crave it.

My fear is getting beaten up.

I am a pussy when it comes to fight. And some people wanna beat me up when I am drunk but I run.

I run and get rid of them.

I tend to just commit to things then worry about the consequences later, including fear. If I decide to do something before thinking about how scary it will be, then I'm just stuck doing it anyways and so far it's always turned out okay

Those who talk about hell all the time, have never been there. Due to brain damage and childhood abuse, I had seizures for four years ten minutes after falling asleep, and I can only describe the experience as 30 seconds in hell, while I was still conscious, which feels like a lifetime. Every neuron in my brain screamed out in abject terror while being electrocuted and bombarded from every side. The idea anyone has control over that kind of biological fear is absurd, and all the evidence points to cultivating what psychologists call resilience as the way to combat such problems. You cannot fight your own fucking body, not that way, and the only way to deal with such things is to nurture contentment and pay it forward with your own two hands. Intimacy is the key to overcoming fear, and by reaching out to others we find ourselves once again.

Your body and subconscious could not give a crap about your rationalizations and beliefs. Emotions are not something you turn on and off like a fucking light. If you can meditate, more power to you, but even meditation is not a cure-all, or they would not have spent the last half century debating whether it has any real benefits. I know a few Vietnam vets, who meditate constantly, only because they have never cultivated real inner peace. Without heart, ya got nothing, and the only way to nurture your heart is to have the courage to reach out to others. You know, like social animals do.

Part of my own work involves helping people to decide for themselves when it is smart to reach out to others, and when its better to run in the opposite direction. Not because I'm an expert on the subject, but because nobody was teaching it except my Rainbow Family, who were the first to show me the infinite possibilities. You cannot attack what you cannot comprehend, and our Oneness Poetry and our own children's potty mouth nursery rhymes, still being reinvented by kids around the world today, are a miracle to believe in. They express what I call the wisdom of our collective ignorance, and anyone of any age can improve upon our words at any time, because we always recognize what works best.

Our poetry is one of the most intimate ways I know of sharing ourselves with each other, and an outsider would sometimes not comprehend what we are talking about, but our poems empower us to share the most intimate aspects of ourselves with people we are not usually intimate with. In China, they hang short phrases from it on walls all over the place and play with refridgerator magnets. My greatest hope is for the same mathematics and linguistic analysis to be applied to automation and virtual reality applications, to bring the art and science into the the 21st century. Technically, its a theory of everything, but that was never my intention in writing it. My book is for my Rainbow Family and their living legacy. It is my own father's living legacy as well.

Don't settle for anything less, than your own living legacy.

All you brave and fearless souls in this thread, (sigh)......
Fear is what allowed me to make it thus far (51)!
Fear, in a sense, has taught me to respect the possibility of something going fatally wrong, and has caused me to approach a situation with caution, or to completely avoid it. Fear serves as an early warning- you should listen to your inner-voice, especially when the hair stands up on the back of your neck. Fear is a safety mechanism we were especially equipped with and to harness for the soul purpose of survival. It is an emotion not to be ignored.

It is also an emotion not to be cultivated! Cheap thrills and instant gratification cultivate fear in everyone. Every kid has to be a kid, but there are reasonable limits!

that's smart. usually when people are drunk that's the time they want someone to pick a fight with them.
