I am glad that you liked it. Few people associate Tchaikovsky with opera and most find it hard to believe that he wrote 11 operas between 1867 Opus 3 and 1891. Opus 69.

I thought that you may like this this work by Puccini. So full of hope, but ultimately so sad. Many famous operatic singers have sung this aria. but somehow Ying Huang captures the moment perfectly, no doubt because butterfly was set in her native area. That moment at the end, where her maid stands by her side was a wonderful piece of production.

Romance should always come before the sex part. Unfortunately too many people see it the other way around and it rarely works out for more than a few days.
Jane and I were just friends for about 4 years before things moved on, We have now been together for nearly 45 years.

I wonder whether your HF admirer will now be inviting you to the opera house any time soon.

Are you a music lover.? Back in 1980, I sat through La Traviata more than 200 times in 6 months. Everyone seemed to feel sorry for me, but I was in heaven. LOL

When you get a few hours to spare, do watch this remarkable production of La Boheme, it shows what can happen when opera is taken off stage to the film studio. This unique masterpiece was shot in Austria.
I am not a particular fan of Rolando Villazon, but this role was made for him. Anna Netrebko is the perfect Mimi.
Have a quick look from 1:09:16, where Mimi confesses that she is dying, it is truly remarkable.
Unfortunately the sound is a bit low on the video, I hope that you can boost it, the quality is fine.
