Name or discuss a few things that you are interested in but don't necessary talk about on here too often. I love when I am talking to a friend/acquaintance (new or old) and they mention something that they love and that I didn't know about. I get to see them in a whole new light.

I really can't say for sure, but my bother has the same fascination. I love the show My 600 Pound Life. Maybe it's a combination of astonishment that the human body can get so huge and how on Earth could a person do that to themselves. I hurt myself also but the damage isn't visible in the mirror. If I could see the damage smoking was doing to me I think I would be terrified into quitting. But I really don't know.

I always wanted to try that but never got around to it.

 

Fashion- I dont care about designers or expensive clothing but I'm obsessed with the silhouette of clothing and how different cuts of clothing frame a women's body. I'm going to take up sewing one of these days.
Food. I spend a large chunk of my time and money searching for and eating at little hole in the wall mom and pop ethnic restaurants. They're the best.
Also love cooking and get really in the zone with it sometimes.
Woodworking.
Thrifting is fun.
I want to take up beekeeping.
I hoard books.
I love poetry.
Geography. Sometimes I just look at maps.

i'm glad you said that, because i couldn't think of anything that i'm interested in that i don't at least sometimes talk about on here. but there's one. not just woodworking necessarily, i like making things and putting things together in most mediums. hell, give me a shelf in a box that needs assembled and i'm happy.

 

I just knew it would be an eclectic list.

 

Oh damn was that a requirement, that we dont talk about it on here? I think I've mentioned most things on my list at least a time or two

technically it was just "don't necessary talk about on here too often." so you're probably ok. except for the food, i'm pretty sure i've seen you talk about that more than once or twice.

a bookcase is a great project idea. it would be fun, plus right now my bookcase has stacks of books covering the top and four plastic bags of books at the bottom, so clearly i need to expand my book space.

 

I used to watch the woodwright Shop on PBS with Roy Underhill which was very informative.
