"No cop in the country has needed a real warrant in over ten years" is an exaggeration. It may seem that the exceptions to the warrant requirement have about swallowed the rule, but many searches--especially of premises of homes and offices, still require them. And when and where are courts compelling people to testify against themselves? Trust your toilet paper if you will; I still have a lot of faith in the courts and the constitution.

If the NSA crawled up your ass any further, you would be singing soprano. Warrantless wiretaps and searches are the rule now, and all the cops usually have to do if they want to get in on the action is to call a judge on the phone. In Arizona, they can bust down any door they want by merely claiming they smell pot. In one case, they got the wrong address and shot a two time Gulf war veteran 32 times in front of his mother, as he shoved the rest of his family in the closet and refused to surrender his weapon. Both the state and supreme court upheld their right to bust down his door without a warrant and shoot him for refusing to surrender his weapon. There were no drugs found on the premises.

The constitution is used toilet paper, as are our votes, which is precisely why we now have Donald Duck prepared to kill congress if necessary to get what he wants. They only break out their nice little pieces of paper these days, so they can continue to pretend you actually have any rights, and charge more. Note that congress gave the president the right to torture and kill anyone he wants, without so much as having to inform them. I'd love to see him use it on his political enemies. Fuck em all, until I get my vote and constitution restored, they are nothing more than Mafia to me. My advice, is to avoid the states of Florida, Texas, Louisiana, and Arizona if at all possible. They've just never had much of a sense of law and order they share with the rest of the country, and no shame whatsoever.

This got 4 Pinocchios. A rating reserved for complete bullshit without a sliver of truth.

Trump’s false claim that the rules for whistleblowers were recently changed

republicans want you to believe that the photo of Joe Biden on the golf course means that he knew of his son's business dealings. That is not factual. What it indicates is that the opportunity was there to discuss whatever they wanted. I don't like the optic, but I don't think it condemns Joe Biden in the least.

I don't think everybody has that level of awareness of their family's business. Do you? Everyone wants to point to this $50,000/mo. salary as some indication of impropriety. It's not adding up. & I don't claim to know what costs $50,000... notoriety perhaps?

  11. $50K a month is $600K a year. The CEO of H&R Block makes less, so a military washout with a cocaine abuse history raises red flags when he starts making the kind of money as a median CEO with zero actual experience. It's just a tad strange.

What's interesting is the stink being raised over who stays in Trump hotels and how much it "benefits" Trump (pocket change) compared to this. Hunter Biden is the perfect wallflower though and has done an admirable job of keeping his mouth shut like a vault. His father has the same talent.

Also, a great many business deals are crafted on golf courses. Most of them are not shady, but it would be interesting to know the scores to see if they are even close to being matched. Joe's fortune blossomed during the Obama administration.

Nobody is voting for anyone fighting corruption, and by who you hate, by this are you truly known.

Over one third of the population insist Donald Duck is doing the right thing and what he was elected to do. You will either learn to hate them, or they will make you hate them.

Can we have both? Easy access to birth control, as well as getting rid of society's casual attitude toward abortion? Or do you see this as a dichotomy?
Yeah we can make Facebook a publisher and not a platform. Which they admitted in court that they are a publisher after insisting for many years that they are a platform LOL. I support a breakup of the silicone valley tech monopoly.
Therein lies the problem. What is considered hateful speech to some, is considered casual speech to others.

For example, saying that Kleinfelter and Turner Syndrome are mutations, could be considered hateful and bigoted toward those with those disorders, and their family members. But those syndromes ARE in fact chromosomal mutations.

Who's to say that the next time you call a Trump supporter an alt-right racist right to his/her face, is going to start a fight or a riot? Maybe if you say that enough about Trump supporters enough times, they might strap a bomb to their chest and walk into a Liz Warren rally?

This is the problem with hate speech laws. They are subjective depending on who interprets the speech as hateful.

I think Elizabeth Warren is saying stuff about that. Mark Zuckerberg was in an article about it today. He said that if anyone tried to do that he would fight it. Facebook is dumb though. I don't like it or use it for anything. Instagram is neat though. Twitter is cooler than Facebook, but I don't use that either. Twitter is at least a little like myspace...

  18. With the exception of blatant antitrust or monopolistic endeavors, where would the divisions occur? Personally, if any of these platforms engaged in activity specifically designed to destroy competition/innovation, then they need to be dragged into court. But I am curious how something like FarceBook might be dismantled without being converted to mediocrity or ruin.

I remember when Ma Bell was split apart. It was largely geographical at first, then specific services became deregulated. Then we got to actually buy our phones, for $10 instead of being forced to rent one for $4 a month. Plus, the cheap phone didn't break a toe when it fell off the counter. I wonder where FB would be split. Maybe their news arm spins off to steal what market share they can from CNN (who is already in the toilet). Maybe they charge a fee to all those eastern European girls who really want to know me.

This is absurd fantasy. The Pentagon alone spends more money in a year than most countries make, and has an entire city next door, Crystal City, dedicated to making their every dream come true, in private of course. Intel is at least four years ahead of the rest of the world in chip manufacturing technology, and the Pentagon controls what they release to the public. You cannot even buy a supercomputer without government approval, and the amount of technology the Pentagon classifies is only going through the roof as the pace accelerates. The US is ahead of the entire fucking world in roughly 80% of all the high tech, and silicon valley only exists because the Pentagon insisted it must exist.

Over a trillion dollars was invested in AI research alone last year, and this train ain't stopping until she derails! This is the new Manhattan Project, which was already derailed for fifteen years by an unexpected physical limitation in silicon, or we would already have a theory of everything and computers that work a million times faster. The idea of allowing the Russians or anyone else beat us to a theory of everything and command of the whole fucking world is so absurd it is not worth discussing, and one reason the pentagon may have to kill their own commander-in-chief, because high tech is not what he's good at.

    Not adding up?

Doesnt need to add up. Dont need any proof of any dealings with this one. Just what the hell was he doing there in the first place?

Hunter goes from being a lobbyist for universities in washington straight to being on the board of a Ukraine oil company just as daddy is trying to fight corruption in the Ukraine????

Shit is obvious, he was only put on their board for one reason, his last name was Biden
