Boy, you're missing a lot! Get this straight..... The investigation has just begun. Who said no one will be testifying or be subpoenaed? The phone call record(s) have been locked away in an improper place. The white House tried to cover up the fact of the records being spirited away and made inaccessible....I wonder why? The acting DOI is an acting DOI...Trump's hand picked man, not approved by Congress. The acting DOI will have to protect the whistleblower, and or those around him or her, from Trump trying him or her as a spy and possibly ordering his or her execution...as he hinted. And most of all Trump has already admitted to the most grievous charge! Kinda flew right by ya.
Trump doesn't trust the government because he is afraid it will find out about his illegal business practices. There has always been a fringe element that doesn't trust the government, but trump has convinced more mainstream people that government is bad.
Don Trump is essentially a Mafia capo and his followers are folks who like the way the Mafia does business. No messing around with a lot of procedural niceties and due process. Direct and to the point: corrupt, brutal, ruyhless, and crooked. His telephone conversation with the President of the Ukraine is done in the style of Don Corleone communicating with the owner of a dry cleaning establishment about the need to subscribe to his protection service. There a far too many dumb asses who admire this style for us to feel secure in our democracy.
Yeah I was going to make this same point, a distrust of the government isnt particularly outlandish. The US government certainly hasnt always gotten it right Placing your trust in Trump because you dont trust the government is really outlandish though
Not at all. The fact that the Acting DOI director hasn't been approved isn't his doing. This went from 0 to impeachment proceeding in what was it 3 days. It's not his fault the Dems chose to act prior to his confirmation or lack thereof. Or perhaps it will come to light this is exactly why the Dems acted so rapidly, when all other instances take much longer to investigate and then make public. Try and discredit him before he even makes it to that confirmation hearing? If they knew the WB was based on others people's stories, they should be making it known that they intend of getting their stories instead of, or as well as that of the WBs. Then we have the problem that the president of the Ukraine and the president of the U.S. the only people on the phone, corroborate the " No pressure was applied" story. Didn't say I believe either of them, just trying to keep this real. The Dems have to now accuse or discredit the leader of a foreign country which is supposed to be our ally, to try and protect Trump. This should go well. We just fly on different airlines. I won't be at all shocked if Biden takes a major hit in the polls from this.
Donald Duck is a wannabe used car salesmen the Mafia would extort for money. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, probably faints at the sight of blood, and the best the Mafia could do is use him for a lawyer for their real estate holdings. Giuliani is a Mafioso type, but its so obvious he could never be elected president.
Democratic Senators renew questions about Rudy Giuliani's apparent work for foreign governments Democrats want to know whether the president's personal lawyer is registered as a foreign agent as focus grows on Giuliani's role in Ukraine conversations. By Mike Memoli Sept. 25, 2019, 1:07 PM EDT Democratic Senators renew questions about Rudy Giuliani's apparent work for foreign governments excerpt: "WASHINGTON — Leading Democratic senators are renewing their calls for the Justice Department to review whether Rudy Giuliani is complying with a federal law requiring him to disclose his work on behalf of foreign governments, the latest sign of how the president’s personal lawyer is becoming a major focus of lawmakers. In a letter to the Justice Department's national security division, the senators said the former New York mayor’s effort to work with the Ukrainian government in an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden’s son “raises serious additional questions about the legality of his work as a foreign agent while also representing and working on behalf of the president regarding official U.S. policy.” The letter lists four publicly reported accounts of Giuliani’s other interactions with foreign governments, including attending a pro-Russian conference in Armenia in October 2018; a meeting with the king of Bahrain in December 2018 that preceded the signing of a security consulting contract; and two appearances at conferences hosted by an Iranian group advocating regime change, MEK. “These are just a handful of new and continued activities by Mr. Giuliani which appear to be paid by foreign entities and government with a desire to influence U.S. policy,” the senators wrote. “Like any other American, Mr. Giuliani has legal obligations to report his work on behalf of foreign clients, and the Department of Justice should not give him preferential treatment or exempt him from his obligation just because he is the president’s personal attorney.”"
You have not heard his recorded admission ? Much of the media is suppressing it . He manipulated the Ukraine govt wtih a billion dollar hammer . Thassa not goodness . No need to punish him though . He's done .
Trump could avoid problems with his security apparatus if he would learn to accept the views of others around him and refrain from nominating inexperienced loyalists. Dan Coats stepped down as DNI after strained relations with Trump. Coats agreed with U.S. intelligence that Russia interfered with the 2016 election which agitated Trump. Sue Gordon, deputy DNI to Coats, was a possible replacement. She resigned along with Coats saying that Trump needed his own team. Trump nominated loyalist Ratcliffe as DNI director. He withdrew his nomination days later due to criticism about his lack of experience. Trump nominated McGuire who currently holds the DNI post as acting director.
The DNI website shows Sue Gordon as the current Principal Deputy Director of the DNI. She resigned August 15, 2019. Principal Deputy DNI
It's not clear if the DNI currently has anyone in the Principal Deputy Director post. Sue Gordon who resigned is still listed as holding that position on a DNI webpage. The leadership page showing the various deputies doesn't appear to show the Principal Deputy Director. A national intelligence website should be doing a better job of maintaining its site.
Trump Says He’s Deliberately Refusing to Fill Hundreds of Top Agency Jobs By Ed Kilgore Feb. 28, 2017 Trump Says He’s Deliberately Refusing to Fill Hundreds of Top Agency Jobs excerpt: "So using these top positions to achieve reductions in the size of the bureaucracy, as Trump seems to suggest is his rationale, is a pretty classic unforced error. It’s like trying to reduce overcrowding in schools by firing most of the teachers. One might be tempted to think the president misspoke out of a desire to avoid admitting his team hasn’t gotten its act together just yet. Earlier he tried to blame the slow pace of appointments on Senate Democrats obstructing confirmations, before it was pointed out how few nominations had been made in the first place. But Trump seems serious about this claim that he wants empty offices all across the top tier of his administration. So we can only hope his Cabinet secretaries don’t mind working nights and weekends, to make up for the lack of help — or significantly scaling back their plans."
