Does actually look like a serious wall though, thats a big ass wall, and really all he needs is the photo op
And did you also notice where the money is coming from That was buried at the end of that article Why isnt there more noise about that? Thats strange. I dont think thats something other presidents would have been able to get away with. Dems should be making far more noise about it. Its a little weird
And this one I think is trolling again. It is as reported by journos that were with him on Air force one as he flew back from somewhere. But he hasnt tweeted anything, no video or tweet of him saying that
Re the KKK roster provided by wikipedia, these are mostly names from yesteryear, when the Klan was a force to contend with. Two of the more recent prominent ex-members featured, both long dead, were: Sen Byrd from West Virginia (former Grand Cyclops) and Justice Hugo Black, who was a Klan member in the early 1920s. Byrd was responsible for integrating the Capitol Police, supporting Martin Luther King Day and funding for the King memorial in D.C., and a voting record praised by the NAACP, which called him "a champion for civil rights and liberties". Justice Black became one of the staunchest defenders of civil rights and liberties on the Court and a strong proponent of "desegregation now!" People can change. The only one on the list who is still alive is David Duke, convicted felon and former Grand Dragon of the Klan. Duke is indeed a white racist and a big Trump supporter who, like AltRighter white nationalist Richard Spencer, is eagerly waiting in the wings for Trump's blessing (which will never come, because Trump is a professional user of losers). During one of Duke's many unsuccessful runs for political office, the gubernatorial race in 1991 against the notoriously corrupt Edwin Edwards, his opponents scored victory with the slogans:"I'm voting for the crook!" an "Vote for the Lizard, Not the Wizard". So I don't think you've exactly shown that the KKK is the pervasive, dominant force today you make it out to be. Which doesn't mean the KKK and other white supremacists should be dismissed as harmless. The Klan per se is a shadow of its former self, but has been gaining in membership since 2014. It is estimated to have fewer than 10 thousand members, mainly concentrated in 25 states, mostly in the south and east, and divided into some 40 rival units. But the Klan is only one of many white identitarian groups: Neo-Confederate, neo-Nazi, Alt Right, Alt Lite, Christian Identity, "patriot", citizen supremacy, Proud Boys, Patriot Prayer, Identity Evropa, etc.--some of which showed up at Charlottesville, some in Oregon to do battle with Antifa. Trump has emboldened them. They feed off of the Nativist ideology of the "Great Replacement" promoted by well-funded propagandists like Lauren Southern. Is Trump a racist? Maybe, but he's certainly worse than that: someone who deliberately uses racist tropes and themes to sow fear and division for the benefit of his base.
Trump sues Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance, who subpoenaed his tax returns Vance's office is probing hush money payments made to women who have alleged affairs with the president. By Dartunorro Clark Sept. 19, 2019, 11:04 AM EDT Trump sues Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance, who subpoenaed his tax returns excerpt: "President Donald Trump on Thursday sued Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, who subpoenaed eight years of Trump's personal and corporate tax returns earlier this month. The subpoena stems from Vance's criminal investigation into the Trump Organization about hush money payments made to two women who have alleged affairs with the president. The president has strongly denied the affairs. The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, is against Vance, who has subpoenaed the tax documents, and Mazars USA, the president’s tax preparer. Jay Sekulow, the president's lawyer, said in a statement Thursday that he questions the constitutionality of the probe.".
The WP has claimed Trump made an improper promise to a foreign official that was so troubling that a whistle blower's complaint was lodged with the inspector general. Trump denies it.
Trump mistakenly thinks that a tariff on Mexico makes Mexico pay for the wall when in fact it's the consumers in the U.S. who end up paying higher prices. What Trump got right and wrong about his new border barrier After two and a half years, the U.S. border wall hasn't grown. It's just been fixed up. Sept. 18, 2019, 8:05 PM EDT By Jane C. Timm What Trump got right and wrong about his new border barrier excerpt: "So far under Trump, the U.S. has replaced or reinforced 66 miles of fencing, including 9 miles of new secondary fencing like the kind the president stood in front of on Wednesday. But Trump's administration has yet to extend the border wall. There are 654 miles of border wall in the U.S., according to Customs and Border Protection data, the same number of miles that existed at the start of his term. Trump, when asked by a reporter about his 2016 campaign promise that Mexico would pay for his wall, Trump claimed Mexico was paying — with its decision to police the border with soldiers. "Well they're paying for 27,000 soldiers. I am — we’re all thrilled. Mexico has never done anything to impede people from pouring into our country," Trump said. “But if I charged a 5 percent tariff on Mexico for six months, that would fully pay for the wall.”"
Years later, Trump is still doing his 'the likes of which has never been seen before' phrase. What Trump got right and wrong about his new border barrier excerpt: "It's a very powerful wall, the likes of which to this extent has not been built before," he said.
Trump could take the money diverted from the military for his beautiful wall and give it to Saudi Arabia so that it can better protect itself from drone strikes.
Again, why is this: Buried at the end of the article? You, people like you, or the news media want to make it clear Mexicans are NOT paying for the wall, wouldnt you start with that? I dont get it
Racism is all about money and power. Sure, everyone has their biases and even animals have been documented as expressing racial bias, but racism exploits that natural bias and amplifies it totally out of proportion. Hitler came to power when Germany was the most advanced and integrated country in the world, but their economy was in shambles, and the fact he succeeded is a testament to the Germans having no soul left. If the US today had any less of a meaningful soul, someone would be selling it on ebay, and if the republican party were anymore lily white and adopted anymore Neo-Nazi agendas they would have to change their fucking name to the fascist party. Donald Duck has emboldened all these white supremacists to come out of the closet to such an extent that members of congress are already proposing banning them from office as terrorists. Guess how many republicans will support that bill. The fucking KKK is a terrorist group, Neo-Nazis are terrorists, who oppose democracy in every way imaginable, and are supported by the republican party which has become a mindless mob, electing a president with a Neo-Nazi agenda against the wishes of their own party leaders.
So where do your lot get the moral or legal authority to occupy and control Afghanistan's government and people.
Trump damaged a gentlemen's agreement between the Pentagon and House with the approach he used to obtain his repurposed wall money. It may end up crippling the Pentagon's ability to quickly repurpose money needed for projects that, unlike Trump's wall, are considered necessary by both the Pentagon and House. Punishment for border wall money transfer could pinch Pentagon Lawmakers want to remind the White House who holds the power of the purse Andrew Clevenger Posted Apr 11, 2019 5:03 AM Punishment for border wall money transfer could pinch Pentagon excerpt: "Dov Zakheim, Pentagon comptroller under President George W. Bush, also thinks the issue will be a major sticking point between the House and the Senate as they draft legislation authorizing and appropriating funds for the Pentagon for the next fiscal year. “Here’s the dilemma: Clearly the Congress, at least as I see, is well within its rights to be furious about a reprogram that was never really asked for,” he said. “But further restrictions are going to make it more difficult for the Defense Department. Any attempt to restrict reprogramming is just going to make it hard to manage the DoD budget more efficiently.” Zakheim said he hopes Congress won’t further limit the Pentagon’s ability to shift money between accounts. In fact, he said, the Pentagon would benefit from the ability to move more money around. “Frankly, Congress has to find other ways for dealing with the high-handed approach the president took,” Zakheim said. “Clearly the president found a loophole and exploited it to the hilt. The answer is, plug the loophole.” But that shouldn’t equate to additional restrictions on the Pentagon’s ability to move money around, in his opinion."
Trump's pick for inspector general, Michael Atkinson, disagrees with Trump and his lap dogs over release of a whistlesblower's "urgent concern" over a series of incidents involving Trump phone calls to a foreign leader. Let's be clear, Trump has wide latitude to discuss anything he wants with foreign leaders. Yet this intelligent agent was so upset by what he heard he passed the information on to the inspector general via the Whistleblower Act. Once received by the IG, he is required to pass the information on to the director of national intelligence. He is required. The IG did that. Once the director of national intelligence receives that information HE is required to pass it on to the congressional intelligence committees. He is required. But Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire, along with Willian Barr, refuse to do so. Both Maguire and Barr, at the order of Donald Trump (also breaking the law)...are breaking the law. We (Congress) don't know what has caused such concern as they refuse to disclose it. What are they hiding? What promise did Trump make to Putin, or his lover Kim, or whomever? Trump the Dictator. Sad.
Its empire baby, and this train ain't stoppin' until she bulldozes the world to put up a parking lot. We pay half the bills for both NATO and the UN and, if you want us to continue to provide law and order and even basic disaster relief, I suggest Afghanistan get with the program. When and if the idiots stop killing each other and living in mud huts, we might start to think of them more as actually having a government. Ask yourself, why the entire world has not demanded a single military that defends everybody. Ask yourself why the EU could not fight its way out of a wet paper bag. Laws exist merely to serve the empire, and the Winner Takes All Global Weapons and Economy Contest! He who dies with the most toys wins.
