Here is an instance of what I said above; "In an interesting twist of propaganda, the "Republicans" are now saying that the Nazis were "ultra liberal"."
I have to say it, but thats exactly why her parents fought in WW2. So everyone was free to openly walk the streets of america
Yea, it's quaint, but still just a rant. Also, the Americans were fighting Americans during the civil war and, like it or not. This reads like some new grad SJW wrote it. Trite flags? White supremacists? Where? Sounds more like she's writing from Sonoma than SLC. All the political games being played with nazi themed "answers" are childish to the core. Nope, I don't buy a rise in the nazis, neonazis or the KKK. If it was true, we'd see a lot of activity, daily. Instead of having to dig back for it like this editorial is doing. It's the press and only the press who is claiming that white supremacy, racism and the KKK are actually a real threat and will be at your door in minutes. Without them, all you hear about it is crickets. Nobody cares because they don't see it happening.
And that's what's particularly dangerous--so many folks oblivious to what's happening until it happens!
How is it 'quaiint'? I don't see how it is quaint at all. Nor would I call it a rant, rather a well-reasoned argument.
It's quaint because of the emulated style, sort of like watching steam punkers. But is still reeks of pure hard left brainwashing. It's only the media that has created this massive escalation of white supremacy and the rebirth of the KKK. And it is all in an effort to tarnish an entire race of humanity. There used to be a word for that. This entire document has only 1 aim, to perpetuate and validate the hatred of people for being born white. And it is tolerated, even accepted, because they "deserve" it for being the same color as the 1.6% of Americans who owned slaves. This was a clever ploy masquerading as a "heartfelt & sincere" letter about old fashioned values with a modern twist.' So yes, quaint is how I describe it.
Well, for starters; Race breakdown of Utah White: 86.84% Other race: 5.03% Two or more races: 2.78% Asian: 2.26% Black or African American: 1.12% Native American: 1.07% Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander: 0.89% http://worldpopulationreview.com/states/utah-population/ She lives in a very whites only state Safe bet she only has white friends
And I suppose she lived there all her life and never traveled to other parts of the country or world, eh. And you know that? Convenient speculative thinking. Well at least that ought to make her well qualified to talk about whites and their attitudes. You seem comfortable talking a lot about the United States and its politics. You must have spent a lot of time here?
Fuck that noise, Donald Duck is a Neo-Nazi who was elected to oppose his own KKK led republican party, who were fucking dragging their feet on issues like immigration, as far as most KKK are concerned. They wanted a "kinder-gentler" Hitler, who already owns the fucking world, and they got Donald Duck instead. This has been going on for over twenty years, and Donald Duck has pushed our constitutional democracy to the breaking point. Half the fucking world is now shunning the most powerful man on earth, refusing to give him the time of day without a good reason to do so. Film at 11:00pm, on Fox News. Its official, Andrew Jackson is no longer the worst president in US history.
And those dudes at Charlottesville with the shields and tiki torches chanting "Jews will not replace us" were what? Actors sent over by Hollywood central casting? Figments of our imagination. You should get a job with InfoWars. What race? Nothing she said could reasonably be construed as tarnishing all whites. She specifically states that she is a white person and addresses "white supremacist person"--not all white persons. Anybody following the "Great Replacement" theorists would realize how pervasive and serious the danger is.
Whose style is she emulating? This is a personal letter written from a woman to a newspaper in her own words, not a piece of media propaganda. I did an online search, and it was written a couple of years ago and reported on by the Washington Post. Hard left brainwashing? Do you honestly think she is a hard left propaganda mouthpiece? The document clearly states in the final paragraph that she is speaking from white person to white person, and is inclusive for all Americans. If you are right and it is a clever ploy, then it is sinister not quaint. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...te-supremacist-person-what-is-wrong-with-you/
My own linguistic analysis is that the writing style is so flat you could eat it like pancakes, indicating the author struggles to comprehend what they are writing, and struggles to make an emotional connection with the reader. She cannot contextualize anything, and her writing style actually indicates that she may suffer from an undiagnosed case of Alzheimer's disease. Her writing style is so damned flat, it would be pathetically easy to imitate with existing AI. There has to be a fractal dragon in there somewhere, but I would have to dissect the entire thing carefully to figure it out and, frankly, the idea doesn't appeal to me. Perhaps I should for just than reason, its related to the chapter I'm writing, or I would never touch it with a ten foot pole. Its just garbage, that says nothing and merely repeats rhetoric, strung together like so many legos. It obeys the logic of "What I say once, twice, three times is true!" Like a bad TV commercial. Hello, hello, hello... is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can hear me? Is there anyone at home?
I think that's exactly what it is. And it's well suited to the task. It's written carelessly but with close attention to modern dog whistles. Have you noticed that nobody calls Neil Armstrong "The first white man on the moon"? That's because even back in the 60s MOST white Americans were not racists. This "letter" is just another ladle trying to stir a racial pot that just doesn't exist. If we were SO mired in white racism, I guarantee you things would be very different and far less tolerant. And Charlottesville is being held up as the "norm" when it's an absolute outlier. Once those bunch of yahoos realized they were being recorded they slinked out like antifa bitches without masks. Sure, we have a problem with gangs in the US and a few (very few) of them are white gangs. But we are not mired in any sort of white supremacy nightmare. That's all in the minds of the media. They NEED exciting stories for ad clicks, nothing more.
Your invocation of "the media" to dismiss every inconvenient fact is simply the right wing equivalent of any left wing exaggeration of white supremacists. "A problem with gangs in the United States" doesn't quite capture the tribal hordes chanting racist slogans and shouting "Jews will not replace us".
The first paragraph starts with "I" and then the three subsequent sentences all start with "They" which is enough to drive some English teachers nuts. Fascists don't have real individual identities, because they are counterproductive in a flock of chickens. They might adopt a personna or pretense of being an actual individual, but they identify themselves according to what they not (them) which often leads to confusion, such as Donald Duck insisting he is liberal. It is using pronouns to encourage the idiots to emotionally identify with the author, and to ignore the principle of identity in logic. By who you hate, by this are you truly known. "They" is used three times in a row, because it works to encourage already contentious idiots with biased opinions to instantly identify themselves as surrounded by enemies. Assuming it is deliberate propaganda, it is aimed specifically at seniors who watch Fox News, and anyone who might be tempted to reject Donald Duck and no longer support his agenda. It violates the principle of identity so systematically its easy to believe its deliberate propaganda, but this is how at least half the country thinks, making it difficult to tell. The letter encourages complete idiots to assume that they can interpret words anyway they like, and need never consult a dictionary unless they need to check their spelling or have no clue whatsoever as to what most people use the word for. Note that the author attempts to redefine the word "fascist" as simply meaning "other people", by implying that fascists never fight among themselves. The US can't be racist and fascist, if it opposes racism and fascism, you can't be a real republican if you oppose some republicans, etc. Sort of Orwellian double-speak where logic is all about who you hate and oppose, because they are fucking chickens organizing according to who has the best memory and is the most vicious. Which is why Nazi Germany turned into a nightmare overnight, because the assholes never did learn how to share their words and play nice, and acted like everything was just fine, right up to when the lynch mobs started hanging people from lamp posts. The assholes are running around the country right now shooting people by the dozen, and insisting everything is just fine. These are the same people who taught militant atheists how its done, and I intend to teach militant atheists just how fucking nasty they really are and why nobody wants crap to do with them, because all do is spout vitriolic bullshit and deny they are being irrational. Your secular teachers are supporting fascists, and militant atheists are increasingly turning to fascism as the answer to all their problems, because the lawyers now own the dictionary.
