That all said, I do believe in gun control measures. And I don't think everyone needs a gun either. Like with my lisence, I needed a specific reason to own a firearm, which was to eradicate vermin from our properties, though I have since signed up to sports and recreational ranges etc. Also my firearms are all locked away in a safe bolted to my garage floor. They are never out in the open, the bolts are always removed and my ammunition and bolts are stored selerately to my firearms.
Ya know, I have a cousin who lives in the Alps who's missing a couple kneecaps. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would ya? He had some pretty big kneecaps; some would say trophy kneecaps. I reckon a set of kneecaps like his would be one hell of a temptation to a kneecap shootin' person like yourself. You got some big kneecaps mounted above the fireplace, Irm? HUH?
That's a given but in a country like the US where mass shootings are a regular occurrence and we have the highest gun death rate among wealthy first world nations it would still be nice to take steps to make sure at risk, prone to violence individuals do not have easy access to guns. Germany's gun culture just isnt really comparable to the US. Our gun death rate is more on par with very poor, unstable third world nations . But I just saw your post above that you store your gun safely, believe in some gun control measures and dont have a problem with having to be licensed to own a firearm so I think we are probably on the exact same page regarding this anyways
Oh yeah, I've always believed in gun control measures and that not everyone needs a gun at all. There's a few methods here that work really well. One method is to go for the full lisence like me, and I am subjected to random checks by the police. At any time day and night they are allowed to knock on my door and I have to show them that my firearms are safe and secure. If they aren't, I'm in big trouble possible jail. Recreational shooters have the option of leaving their firearm at the lisenced range or shooting centre and some registrations only let you shoot at that centre. Basically if you just want a gun, you're not getting one. You need to provide a legit reason and if it is sports shooting, you will have to compete at a minimum of I think it's 3x a year to hold it. Its a little relaxed in rural areas with farms as our legit reason is vermin control and is by far the easiest way to apply for a firearms lisence. But we still need to all surrounding properties to sign off saying yes they're okay with it and still need the correct storage. Honestly if the cops came in and a rifle was on the kitchen table, it's not good.
By the way, my grandfather was in the Italian Alpine Guard, the Alpini, the oldest active mountain unit in the world. In WWI they fought the Alpenkorps. He was buried in a avalanche and was only found because he managed to fire his sidearm through the snow.
Don't try to evade my questions by asking your own. I don't have to prove that a military accessory has never been used in a crime, all we need to know is that it has the potential and has little to no civilian value.
You are going from a specific example to a generalization. All sound does not product light every time it occurs. The sound produced by a rifle does not produce light. The exploding power may, but not the shock wave that causes sound.
No. You're sitting there saying I can't have it. When asked to give your rationale for your verdict, you accuse me of evading your question. You've asked me why I would need a flash suppressor and pistol grip. I'm not obligated to satisfy your paranoia. The truth is that, when pressed, you can't explain how a flash suppressor or pistol grip is a danger. Sorry, but the ball's in your court.
