Gun ownership itself is a slight mental illness

I do not think I have ever seen anybody on this site other than myself discuss the practicalities of suppression necessity in alpine areas. And everyone just doesn't acknowledge it anyway so it's pretty clear cut. They're only interested in what they have to say.

And I know what the response will be. That I live in a alpine area, not in a city, so my responsibilities will change as a civilian. But you know what thay really means? That because of my geographical location, I'm being reduced as a civilian.

Well you know what that is?

 

You def know what thread to come to for all manner of mistreatment.

 

I would have happily discussed it with you, but I figured that it goes without saying. The last thing I want to see is you getting avalanched. Okay, actually that's the second to the last thing I want to see. The last thing I want to see is me getting avalanched.

 

I'd wager Irm could out-ski an avalanche. James Bond did it a couple of times! Vin Diesel did it too. On a snowboard.

 

Hell, I once outran an avalanche, too. And I did it on a bent up garbage can cover. I don't know why I was carrying it around in the Alps. I had drank quite a bit that day, and then I blacked out. When I came to, I was at the bottom of the mountain sitting on the garbage can cover, and there was a bunch of people from the Alps area--Alpians I think they're called--cheering and clapping. It was a great day . . . and then I threw up.

I'm not one to brag, but I'm a damn good bragger.

 

I don't ski lol. But with a gun in my hand! I would shoot my way out of the avalanche. Hehe.


But that's not really the point. The point was, a good point was made, and that good point has yet to be nullified and nor will it, really, because it stands its ground quite firm and if someone tries to bring it down then they aren't looking at the big picture or anybody else as a matter of fact.

I live in a country that doesn't have much gun violence and it's a legal requirement to have suppressors in certain geographical locations. The gun violence stats don't favor argument against accessories at all. Maybe in loonieville America, but definitely not here, so that kinda tells me what's bullshit hehe.

 

Oh, and I was naked, too. But that didn't bother me at all . . . until the next day.

And there was the frostbite on-- uh, I probably shouldn't talk about that in mixed company.

 

Right, so why spent a hundred more pages arguing over them, that was my only point. There are other things loonie america can do regarding gun control and accessories just seem beside the point to me

 

I'm just after an acknowledgement that people don't look at the entire picture when they criticise certain accessories. That's all. No different to what I'm constantly accused of.

 

Well we've changed direction rather nicely I think. I'm actually having a great time. Irm's a lot of fun. And best of all, nobody got shot.

Oh I agree, I enjoyed your story about the Alps. I thought you might be one of these who only surfaces to argue guns, there's a couple of posters that only show up on HF when a new gun thread starts. But instead you've shared a personal story, you're a real person and seem fun. This pleases me.
Not that it matters if I'm pleased, but pleased I am all the same

 

Yeah alright you've got a point BUT
As far as silencers? My only thing with that is, if someone murders my neighbor I want to hear it so I know something just went down in the 'hood, ya know?


Jk though, it honestly is a good point and not something I've thought about before

 

And I would agree as like I stated, geographical locations make a differnce.

However!

If 50 neighbors also hear the shot it could cause an avalanche of people rolling down stairwells trying to escape. imagine getting squished at the bottom of that? I'll take the bullet!

 

I don't think silencers are as quiet as some people believe they are.

 

Here is my latest picture on.my latest hunt few weeks back. Notice the suppressor. Now this is in a location that I don't need that, there's not much chance of an avalanche along the rolling hills of Lower Bavaria estate. But, there is native wildlife and also farming wildlife in the area that could have detrimental effects at the noise my hobby activity could create. So I have opted for the suppression.

Notice:. No dead bodies. This is a recreational hunt. In this picture is all the gear and accessories to knock down anybody out there, yet I am not a murderer or a criminal. It goes to show that the power of ill thought and action is determined by the individual, not the equipment.
