To the best of our knowledge, I'm afraid the CIA in Honduras was more real and active than little green men.

Most people ICE are rounding up do have homes and jobs. How else would they have lived here? Those that walked here are protected under international law and should be given help with finding employment and the same chance for a social security card. It's two different groups with different needs.

Rich Blue State people need cheap labor for nannies, lawn care, cooks in those big kitchens and construction labor.

    they will find these jobs.

Where do they sleep and eat and keep their kids until they make enough money to move in somewhere?

Yeah, I think Aerianne is asking how thats accomplished, rather than just saying "we should do something". Housing in particular, 100, 000 a month, thats in the order of 20,000 extra homes......every month

How is that accomplished when you already have ridiculous housing / rental prices in some cities, and who the f is going to pay for all that

And I will add the why?, why? ....just because the honduran government and its people cant get their shit together

  8. If 100,000 a month are coming, then what's the point of locking up a few hundred people and not letting them have showers or a place to sleep and making them drink out of toilets?

Let them figure out where they're going to live. Nothing is going to stop them from coming.

Some sort of goverment housing it's not that hard and if you feel different I would say you have the wrong attitude on what "your" money pays for. We are paying for them now in a way that we would not if we simply sent them back. The punishment is an expense we see as a good investment.

It's the right thing to do and it's no way expensive to live in the small border towns.

We acomplish the same way we have with camps. Where there is a will there is a way. I'm sure many churches would take donations of money and give their space as well. Or as you have suggested to me Americans like me can welcome them into their homes. I honestly would take 5-8 people. At that level I feel I could have my space and still provide some to them.

If there is a problem yo I'll solve it! as Vanilla Ice once said. I would not let a problem cause me to not try to help. It's in my nature to make things work. I can not sleep at night if I fail my fellow man like this when they need me.

So the CIA help train some soldiers, those soldiers killed 6 students in 1982.....and that explains why so many people are trying to cross the border 37 years later....and from a whole bunch of other countries too the CIA didnt train soldiers in

So you would force them to live in smaller border towns where there are no jobs then

And you'd honestly take in 5 -8 people....but you havent done so already......because....maybe you are full of it and are never going to take in 5-8 people

Force? There are jobs there. Not as many as a large city but lots of farm work which they do now for example and they can move anywhere they want if they can.

I have not met anyone who has asked nor has the goverment allowed this. If I could I would go to a camp now and do it. Do you think I can take some home?

You should offer something but being a contrarian but I know that is your thing.

If you could, you would go work in a camp now....what is actually stopping you?

....besides it not actually being true that is

Your response says a lot about your background. What I wrote was straight out of political science text books.

I could but I would not for several reasons.

    1. I would take a pay cut
    2. I honestly don't think the way I would answer the psychological evaluation would get me hired due to the work culture of the Border patrol.
    3. I like it where I live and also have the employment of my fiance to think of. We would both have to agree and I think she likes her job here too. It's not something to do unless you have to or opportunity is great. This is not a good opportunity for me. I can still help where I am and perhaps in a better way.

What is not true the existence of the camps?
