You didn't ask any questions. You stated my link was a glowing review of Trumps border policies. Inhumane detention policies aren't irrelevant emotional context. Many solutions have already been posted in this thread. 1: More border judges 2: Quicker identification and release of non-violent criminals 3: Return them to Mexico rather than detain them. 4/5 who are detained are charged with no crime other than being here without documentation. 4: We need a Marshall Plan for Central America. We take our military out of the middle east and send the army corps of engineers into Central America. 5: The creation of a latin american peace corps. If someone who tried to or is trying to come into the US Central America, and will serve for two years in building roads/bridges/hospitals/schools in central america, we grant citizenship Numbers 4 & 5 also take care of the 'why don't they go back and improve their own countries' query you posed earlier.
This is why I stated that you lack the intellectual fitness for discussing such stuff. The sanctions did not result in a change of government, only in the death of a half a million children due to lack of medical drugs and supplies. The invasions toppled the government, but it also exacerbated the situation further drastically needing more military measures. Hence the reason why I am saying sanctions does not bring about change of government, only suffering to its people and creating humanitarian crises.

The people of Iraq don't want American help. The people of Iraq think and know Americans are torturers, murderers, and oil thieves.
So basically Iraqi is in good shape now for every other reason except co-incidentally the one reason you want to make a negative point about in this thread on hip forums 13 years later - sanctions Mmmm hmmmm
You have asked all of them have you? Even the ones that have cousins in america that are now american citizens. They say their cousins are oil thieves? Maybe number of cones per day, you should stick to single digits
Yes, I have asked them … thousands of them. I also read several Iraqi papers in the Arabic language. The people of Iraq always say Americans are oil thieving pieces of shit. The people of Iraq are also offended by Americans who stole antiquities to sell at Hobby Lobby shops in midwestern states. To a man, they ask why does the white supremacist Yankee want to steal from us like they steal from Guatemalans?
Iraq has abundant petroleum resources and would naturally have a good economy. The sanctions were imposed to bring about a regime change but it did not happen. The invasions brought it about, but at a huge cost to Iraq and the invaders. It is like attempting to get rid of the rat in the house by burning down the house, and getting burnt up as well in the process.
Vanilla Gorilla, I thought you were a man of love, humanism and compassion but I see that I was mistaken in my impression. I also find it hard to believe that you are adopting an indifferent tone to the conditions of the Venezuelan immigrants, considering the plight of the convict immigrants forcibly dislocated to Australia and who faced much more severe hardship and suffering. The first settlers in Australia who came with the First Fleet in 1788 lacked the skills needed to start a self-sufficient settlement, such as farmers and builders, and the colony experienced hunger and hardships and suffered a high mortality rate. The conditions of the transportation in the Second Fleet was described as horrific and worse than slave transports. Of the 1,026 convicts who embarked, 267 (256 men and 11 women) died during the voyage (26%); a further 486 were sick when they arrived of which 124 died soon after. The fleet was more of a drain on the struggling settlement than of any benefit. Immigration to Australia - Wikipedia I am sure that studying in detail the tragic plight and suffering of your forefathers in Australia would melt your heart and make you more sensitive to the suffering of other human beings in similar conditions.
Instead of locking them in cages and separating them from their families, couldn't we just drive them back across the border?
You are so right. America was wrong about Iraq. It was wrong, because America's leaders were ignorant Republicans.
Dude, are you for real? Thanks for the link to the wikipedia page on immigration to australia. I had no idea anyone ever immigrated to australia, i've spent my whole life just thinking all the different coloured people just appeared out of thin air, then had babies
Well there were people in Australia many thousands of years before England decided it would make a great exile colony.
You are telling an Australian there were people here before English settlers? Wow, thanks for the revelation What the hell is wrong with you people?
