My post said that most western adults have that deviation. I thought this + the fact most kids drink milk would imply it was an adult thing. I guess I expected better from you :p ;) But I stand corrected: could made it more clear.
Still, hard to see this deviation as an error though. *points finger and laughs at asians!*

I needed to hear it from the EXPERT. And I also needed to know why

    Google has spoken. Case dismissed

Well I didnt look up your dutchie anomaly specifically, but I can infer
Babies produce a lot of the enzyme lactase, which breaks down lactose
Lactase production slows down around age 2
But not in the Dutch apparently

@Asmodean, you've gotta try cashew milk. It's quite rich and creamy for someone who is a big dairy fan.

Not only the dutch. Lots of europeans. There are a few other groups of people too. Some ethnicity in Africa. Could be the Masai.
But yes, all adults originally stopped producing that enzym.

I'm a moderate dairy lover. Not that big on milk. Well, I like it just fine but rarely consume in large quantities. So I don't see the need to replace it with some alternative lookalike substance. I'm good :)

It's not that... This is so good it's worth trying - regardless of whether you want to replace your milk or not. If you ever have the chance try some. It's seriously good! :)

I keep trying to tell my mother the same thing, but she's defensive about it. She likes paying far less for a gallon of milk than for a 1/2 gallon of something else (cashew milk). I suppose they don't measure it in gallons there though. You get the drift... she doesn't want to pay more to fix something that isn't broken.

I'm so impressed because it's really rich and creamy for something that doesn't have much fat or calories! :)
