What's Happening???

How cute. My wife just threw me my old sleeve folder from highschool and inside was all my magazine tear outs of Alicia Silverstone. I hadn't seen them for 15 years. Good memories. Inside was also a love letter to my Laura I never gave her that we found wedged between to photographs of Alicia my sister got for me, like actual prints.

 

Shaving legs and boiling peanuts.

My life could be a comedy show.

 

The heaviest of burdens crushes us, we sink beneath it, it pins us to the ground. But in love poetry of every age, the woman longs to be weighed down by the man's body.The heaviest of burdens is therefore simultaneously an image of life's most intense fulfillment. The heavier the burden, the closer our lives come to the earth, the more real and truthful they become.

Conversely the absolute absence of a burden causes man to be lighter than air, to soar into the heights, take leave of the earth and his earthly being, and become only half real, his movements as free as they are insignificant

What then shall we choose? Weight or lightness?

 

I see the first picture I saw of her. She looked so young and cute. It's this one.

And then I remember in class a male friend took this picture from me and tried to look at it on angles to see side boob. dumb ass.

 

Coming home to a loud purring kitty is fantastic.

 

One week until I'm on the road again. The days are goin' by too damn slow man

 

My kitty is sitting on the window sill.

 

I got together everything I have to take to the ballpark tomorrow and I did it from memory!

That's difficult to believe.

Now, I've earned a little t.v. time to unwind before bed.

 

Watching the footy

 

There really is nothing better than British comedy ,I rediscovered a very funny series starring Rowan Atkinson called The Thin Blue Line
I was given a dvd boxset last Christmas and had forgotten about it,watched 2 episodes so far and haven't stopped laughing,think I will binge watch
the rest tonight ..

 

Is that from Unbearable Lightness? I'm only guessing because "weight or lightness"; I wouldn't remember.

If so, you've backed up an idea I had that we should have a "paragraph from a book you're reading" thread.

 

When I feel like that.. I try and remember that our days are finite and one day I'll wish they'd slow down
But it doesn't always help : )

I like it very much but then comedy is very personal,what I find funny may leave somebody else cold....

After 12 years of going cross-eyed the entire time figuring out all the formal linguistics, mathematics, and physics involved, including how to establish the theory with quantifiable evidence and make unique predictions, I've finally figured out the last chapter of my book will be about "Disturbingly Disruptive Bullshit Kung Fu!" My friends and I sometimes brag about who's bullshit kung fu is better.
