Dad just called, my eldest sister got money off him and blew it on what she said she wasn't going to spend it on, having fun. So he's furious with her lol. I had a feeling it would have been her.. I messaged her.. Ha-Ha told off at 40yr old.

Installed a set of early 80's Celestions in Orange cabinet #1 today... (my oldest Orange 4X12) Three of them are G12M-70's from 1984. (I got 4 but one has a tear in it, I fixed it but won't use it for high power stuff) The 4th speaker is a G12-80 ROLA Celestion, only made briefly in 80-81. HolyShyt does that cabinet sound great... Like " Pro recording studio" great. Even face melting distortion sounds smooth... Clean tones defy description.

The other cabinet for that stack has G12K-85's in it. Also a great sounding set, just not quite as magical. In theory all 3 Orange 4X12 cabinets are sorted out. (except I don't have 4 of them... Yet!)

Some pretty cool old photos in these songs. Couple of photos kind of negate history I've had to learn though. There's a black fella clearly wearing a Confederate soldiers hat with the crossed muskets. Originally I thought it was the rebel flag but I had to do a bit of research. well I am pretty sure it is, it looks the same as the photos I researched, plus the crossed muskets kind of give it away. Oh okay seems to be easily accessible information well enough, well alright then, black people did fight for the confederates. Mind Blown.

I like looking at old photos and wandering who they were and what happened to them.

 

I now exactly dick about the confederate army......my dad had a grey suede cap with crossed muskets he bought on vacation somewhere.....he wore it at the cottage....I inherited it...fire took it

That article was written when the south was still under a system of white supremacy so i would take it with a grain of salt

(I'm guessing the time period it was written from sentences such as..."the negro behaved very well"..)
