Ladies: do you prefer alpha men or beta men

They clearly have no understanding of what an alpha is in the animal kingdom. They just associate it with being "top dog!" Hyper competitive fuckwits.

 

Obviously many women are drawn to guys that display alpha traits, whether they explicitly think and talk about it or not. Otherwise, if it were all equal, we wouldn't have Players and Studs or conversely incels.

 

It still hasn't been explained to me what an alpha trait is. Girls like all different kinds of men, honestly. Maybe they're all confused and think they're dating alphas.

 

I'll use examples:

Gene Simmons and Wilt Chamberlain sleeping with 1000s of women.

 

Yep, exactly.

 

That wasn't really an example, unless you're saying that sleeping with thousands of women makes one an alpha. I wholeheartedly disagree, but if that's what you're all agreeing to, be my guest. Personally I have a much deeper respect for someone who is more sparing with whom they sleep with. Wilt Chamberlain and Gene Simmons are basically male sluts.

 

You're claiming to not even have an idea of what an alpha is so how can you disagree?



And Yes those are examples.

 

I know what I think an alpha would be. Like, the second coming of Jesus Christ. I might consider such a person to be "the alpha." I don't consider anyone living on this planet to be the alpha. Not even close.

Yes they are alphas (thus possess the traits) to a greater extent than you and I will ever be. You already said you don't give a shit, I don't really aspire to be like them but I do admire them in a sense.

 

What traits do they possess?

I don't give a shit. I can barely even think of a response. Maybe they do represent the best a man can be. I don't want to be a negative Nancy...it's just not that impressive to me. I prefer people of character. If I had it my way, the hierarchy of man would entirely be based around how much character a person has. Like, a really good person, regardless of money or success, would be the alpha. That's who I would follow anyway. So I don't know where I fit in to all of this. Not to be a negative Nancy, but I think it's all a crock of shit. Have it as you like it, as far as I'm concerned.

 

I was agreeing that woman like all different types of men and that no one can really agree on what an alpha really is in the first place.

I think women just want confident men. You can be a fry cook and be confident.

I suppose I know what people mean by alphas and betas, but it is very stereotypical, and I don't think a good means of judging someone's character.

But yeah, women are probably the least superficial of the two sexes, in my experience.

 

They're rich and famous and have groupies though, thats why they've slept with thousands of women. Only a small subset of the male population ever become rich and famous and only a small subset of the female population do the groupie thing and sleep with rich and famous men (or men who have been with thousands of women for that matter, thats an std waiting to happen) , so i'm not sure thats the best example.

 

By definition alphas are going to represent a small subset of the male population...

If I had to pick traits of theirs, which inherently represent alpha dominance, They are (or were) both tall, in good shape and talented.

I'm not sure what better examples one could come up with really.

So by your own definitions William Hung, a guy who got famous for being an under talented joke is an alpha because he self confident and unafraid to be him self.

But Wil Wheaton, a successful writer, actor, and personality who has won multiple awards and accommodations, is a beta because he lacks self confidence and suffers from poor self image?

Matt Mercer, successful voice actor and world recognized DM from Critical Role, who has also contributed an entire new world to Dungeons and Dragons which is one of the best selling additional content source books.....is a beta because he has crippling body dysphoria?

Several have stated confidence and drive as core principals in determining. Both of which he has in spades. As well as social comfort which has been mentioned.
