Wrong, we've gone over pistol grips before. They allow for more efficient killing. Outlawing them would make killing less efficient, not prevent it.
You are ignorant of the reason I said that. That is what he uses when he gets backed into a corner. So I threw it back in his face.
Wrong! They do not allow for more efficient killing. You are forgetting that when you made that claim, I challenged you to back it up. You said that there was no way to show that it was true, but here you are stating it as if it were an established fact.
That is preposterous. How does a pistol grip on a rifle make killing in any way more efficient? How would outlawing pistol grips on rifles make killing less efficient?
It's a silly argument indeed I feel. Like a grip is going to stop the force of a bullet. Yeah, sure, take away the accuracy with a non pistol grip and instead have bullet spray all over the place. More people would be killed or injured. If a pistol grip increases accuracy then the bullet is going for what he's aiming at, which is better than a spray of lead in any direction because they're unable maintain stability. In any case, these rifles are powerful enough to stay true in close quarters regardless of whatever grip you have on the handle. Rambo only needed one arm to unleash an M60 and a belt full of shells. and took down a mofo Hind with an arrow. Pistol grips please. Haha.
I question whether there will be any difference in accuracy. The only difference that I can see is that a pistol grip allows for a modern stock that can slide and adjust its length. There isn't a way to grasp such a stock and fire the gun.
Any modification for a gun exists for the purpose of making the gun a better gun. This modification means I can fire it faster, more accurate etc. Also maybe I can easily travel with this gun or something like that. If the function of the gun is not improved there is no retail market among gun owners for the item. This is how it's more efficient at killing. Many things in the American gun community are meant to get around existing gun laws to make a "semi-auto" and legal gun as close to an illegal gun's ability as possible. I want a turbo for my car since it enhances the ability of the engine. It makes it into more of an engine. Same idea. If the turbo does not make it fire/ go faster why would I buy it? I think you are doing the typical gun owner tactic of flat out lying to people you think don't understand the lie. You know damn well why you want certain things on a gun. You just hope we don't. With your grip example you will be more accurate and maybe fire faster. Come on now.
What a crock of crap! You have an unhealthy fear of a pistol grip on a rifle. You think it will magically turn a rifle into a super gun. I'll have to ask you to support that crock of crap with some evidence please. Ya know, the thing that really makes guns more deadly is those godawful sights. I say we make sights on guns illegal. I know you're with me on this. I just know it. Not drinking while using a gun also makes them way more accurate. I say we outlaw sobriety.
An adjustable stock is an improvement over a stock that is not adjustable. Adjustable stocks do not cause an appreciable difference in the killing power of a gun. Neither do pistol grips. Complying with a law is not getting around that law. Feel free to try to point out anything untrue in my posts. Feel free to try to point out anything untrue written by any other gun owner. The reason why I want something is irrelevant. What matters is the fact there is no reason for restricting it. Feel free to try to establish that a pistol grip improves accuracy or rate of fire.
I suppose if the shooter had arthritis so bad that it immobilized his wrist, then maybe a pistol grip would help him overcome his handicap. But other than that, I think you're just paranoid.
Um....rifles designed for accuracy don’t have pistol grips. Hunting rifles, sniper rifles. etc, are specifically designed to NOT be semi-automatic because it’s the automatic cycling of the action (bolt/bolt carrier) that removes accuracy. Semi-auto sniper rifles do exist, but they’re not designed for the same distance/accuracy as a bolt action sniper rifle. They’re more designed for a designated marksman to provide overwatch. But a dedicated sniping/hunting rifle has a solid stock and no pistol grip.
I was an M60 gunner for 2 years. It’s a bitch to hump - a 23 pound machine gun, a 70 pound pack, and 20-30 pounds of ammo makes for a long day. We called it “the pig” for a reason. Jumping the pig during Airborne operations.....fuggedaboudit. Having that bitch strapped to my side made every landing a painful one. But with enough practice, you can actually make it fire one round at a time. Those triggers take some massaging but they’re fun as hell
It’s all about image, instead of some lone white supremacist mowing down Muslims, picture strong healthy young women carrying weapons ready, willing, and able to defend the homeland
Well, yeah, and they were all capitalist American pig-dogs! I was assigned to a permanent Opposing Forces battalion (OPFOR). We simulated a Soviet backed, third world army and every month a Brigade (about 1,000 soldiers) from the Army deployed to Ft. Chaffee to fight against us to be evaluated. At the time (tail end of the Cold War) the Army figured future conflicts would be in Central America, so we fought in small 3-4 man teams using tactics used during recent Central American civil wars. We used a form of high-tech laser tag for firefights that involved mounting laser transmitters to all our weapons, and wearing harnesses and halos covered in sensors on our uniforms. Firing blanks triggered the laser transmitters, so if you got shot, you knew it. I was even awarded an Order of Lenin First Class.... (no joke, that’s how we were recognized for certain accomplishments). But the two years prior to that I was up on the East German border. The wall came down right before I left.
Is it true that Stalin wanted to secretly create an Army of half-human, half-ape hybrids who would be easy to manipulate and control and yet would have the strength of a Gorilla
I....uh....not sure....but whenever I put on my OPFOR uniform with my Russian rank on the epaulets, I always had the sudden urge to eat bananas.....
