I have a buddy from child hood who I am still close with...he has a hundred acres with a nice cabin in a beautiful and peaceful setting.....we'e been estranged for a bit and he wants to fix it....so do I.... ...a fellow grower recently clean off a 30 year opiate habit

Load up with everything you can.. I have a friend that calls with no end of stuff in her car.. music, something to play it on.. fave drink, cream cakes.. etc ect... it's always a good visit.
Even stuff that 2 old ladies should know better... if our kids could see us... be soooo funny

Forgot to say, she doesn't bring it all in at once... just when the time is right..thankfully lol

 

I am aware.....ive been there a couple hundred times.....I bring my own coffee and coffee maker ,blankets and my own pillow and some snacks.....everything is very expensive there at the local grocery store....also some booze ….

 

i'm a wonderful guest...I told him i'd help clean the place up...spring cleaning so to speak

 

Best way to clean up.. loud music, music that makes you wiggle... that's what my mum used to say lol..

Yesterday I downloaded an album and it's easy listening. Like, I can sit and listen to it.. Or play pool... But it's not like... Going to prop me up to get anything done lol.

Sean True story here on Mr. Rogers' birthday, from retired Exec. Dir. of the ALS Assoc. Of WPA, Merritt Spier. Merritt also worked at WQED-TV years ago with Fred Rogers. They had placed an inflatable doll in Mr. Rogers' closet before taping. Cameras rolling, Mr. Rogers opens his closet door for his sweater. He sees the inflatable doll immediately, but never misses a beat. Still talking to the TV camera he puts on his sweater. He then gently embraces the inflatable doll, smiles into the camera, and slowly closes the closet door on the both of them. Cameras rolling. Happy Birthday Mr. Rogers! Thanks for the great story Merritt! Fred Rogers would be 91 today, born in Lay-trobe, also home to Arnold Palmer and the banana split.

Omg so I'm trying to pull into a tight car park to go to shops and I get in and all a sudden BANG! I was like wtf! I reversed up and see two short concrete bollards in front of me, I just never seen them over the truck hood. Then I hear some woooo yeewwwww and there's two guys walking up to me laughing and smiling. They were Americans. I wind down window and asked how bad it was and one guy said "well the poles are fucked and you've got to have a scuff on your bar but I can't see anything". So we get out and take a look. Possibly one scuff mark not even worth looking at. The bollards were bent on a bad angle though and one must have had a snapped rio bar because it was all wobbly.

So all was good and we had a laugh and then that guy again said as I was leaving "fucken get that into ya government!"

 

Just a one inch scuff on the bottom of bullbar. I can't see anything else. Ah well, that's what I put her on for!

This is what country music should sound like! Not entirely certain about the cleaner polished vocals, or the rest of the album yet. But I'm sure it'll grow on me. I was just always going to love the violin and the pace in this one.

Wikipedia says they were influenced from Skynard and Metallica. Possibly what made my ears listen? Cause it wasn't this song but a few others I was like hmm who is this? Apparently the album before this one, was their best. I already liked 3 songs on this one in YouTube which is why I bought it.

I just wish it went for 8mins.

I've never enjoyed YouTube as much as I have right now. It's opened me to so much more music. I just click on like a Steve Earle song and then it takes me on a whirlwind ride of all sorts of southern rock. And it's all gold too! Especially these older 60s-80s guys I never heard of, that real rockabilly stuff. Like Merle. I used to think you couldn't top my Weylon Jennings...

 

I'm changing my nomination from Fear Factory to this song for funeral song when I die, just so people can dance on my grave.

And my dad approves too. I sent it straight to him, but I told him to play it on speakers and not off his phone.

And I think I can hear the metallica influence. The guitar solo at 2:05 is very Metallica like IMO.

 

How far north is north?

 

Heading south in a couple of hours for a punk show in Toronto tomorrow and then a wedding on Saturday.

The last punk band I saw live was two summers ago. We saw Rancid play an outdoor show in Toronto with the Dropkick Murphy's.

 

Parking by touch is never recommended...
