You get used to it when you use it more. I used to feel the exact same way. Now that I've taken Sociology of Gender it has been easier. I think LGBTQ+ comprise such a small percentage of our every day lives that we don't have occasion to adopt that acronym into our vocabularies.
I like how you used science to disprove me. Then when I use current science it's a "crutch". The data you brought is the only crutch I used. I merely expanded on it. As I told the Gorilla please show some peer reviewed data that can disprove what I am saying. I'm not worried about being a man. I have a great life and I do what I need to help others. I never get this kind of talk in person. My size kind of intimidates other men I think. I rarely run into a man who can look me eye to eye and I've never been challenged in a public place. I've seen it happen to other guys. Maybe because I am nice too. Every man in my life who felt had to prove himself was short. They are the 5'8 guy so they feel good by lifting weights or learning MMA. That is great if you feel good and are healthy but some never get over it. I peak at the incel redit and height is big for them too. Maybe I was lucky since I never felt about that. All the other things men go though hell yes but not "oh no will this girl like me since I am not taller than her" I just bring this up since from my understanding things like the height of the man and his beard and VERY important in your community. These things prove I have testosterone since only testosterone creates height and facial hair. Women are small with no hair. A real men does manly jobs not a soy desk job. So in your junk science I use science to prove I am a man And from the mental judgement of myself and that of my peers I am a man. Why you are so concerned with how much of a "man" other men are. Thinking about men all the time is pretty gay dude. Like oh wow they have such hairy features and they are so big and strong. That's my attempt at gay ally humor. Are you a bear 6? It's OK if you are.
What some people don't get is the pay difference. I don't know I figured out a long time ago it's better to have a 9-5 office job. The level of pay, perks, and respect is far beyond anything blue collar. Like I never have to take a drug test, I get weekends off, I can take personal days for no other reason then I feel like not working. I get a holiday party. This was all unacceptable in the blue collar jobs I had. Real success was being the guy who visits the construction site for an hour or two to make sure all the grunts are doing what I said they should. I put on my hard hat and visit. If some people don't feel that is for them and want a full time hard hat good for them. Personally I like to keep my hands soft from lotion (and women do too), and my car seats clean. I decided to use my brain to acomplish this. I can fix anything I need to when I have to, I just like to pay someone else to do it for me. The ultimate sign of success I guess.
your blue collar jobs were probably part time. most of the blue collar workers i know can't seem to comprehend that i sometimes have to work on weekends or holidays, or get work related phone calls when i'm not at work.
Now now, let's not be collar blind. Tradies get heaps more days off anyway in general with rostered days off and union days off and trade days off. It's a minimum of like a day off a month for many based on that RDO entitlement anyway and I've always been in agreement that have an RDO is good for the workplace because everybody knows they're going to get a day off each month so people are less likely to throw a sick day for the sake of it.
I like a man who can work with his hands Fix my car, build me a bookcase then grab me with those big ol hands and pin me against a wall Edit, in a sexual way, not an abusive way. For some reason I felt I should clarify that in case i wasnt clear
I had the same thought: wether there's a valid point in there or not he sounds kind of denigrating to 'blue collar jobs' in general. Hope it wasn't as intential as it can be interpreted.
Those people on the construction site mainly dislike the asshole doing checkups when they have such an superior attitude.
realistically, if he's able to do one then he's probably able to do the other. not that he would, but i think either type of wall pinning probably takes about the same amount of strength. especially when the asshole makes them work weekends and holidays. but who cares really? would you want to be liked by people who work with their hands? eww, gross!
I kno, rite? ewww. lol. There is absolutely NO WAY!! my family is letting me run off to marry some oarsman!
